My mom is making my bridesmaid dresses and I have a real pretty dark teal picked out. Since it is hard to match we bought ties for the groom and groomsmen in a dark plum to match and while it looks good together my fiance is a little reluctant to wear purple. So my next idea was to get ties dyed to match. Does anyone know of a place that can dye ties to match a color swatch?

Have you checked out thetiebar.com? They have a gazillion ties in every color imaginable!! Never heard of dying ties before though... You could always have your groomsmen in the plum and let your groom pick out a completely different tie, be it white, ivory, silver, blue or whatever he likes best!

What colors does your FI like?  You could do a medium to dark blue, brown, black or champagne for the ties.

I agree with PP, if he doesn't want to wear purple, have the other GM wear the purple, and he can wear the white/silver/ivory/black, etc.
