Shoes!

Okay, I have to admit, I really DESPISE bridal shoes!  Even the ones that are supposed to be cute with pearls, rhinestones, etc..  They just really bother me, and I cannot get past them.  Needless to say, I think I'm going to rock some cute black heels with my dress.  Does anyone else here feel the same way?

Re: Shoes!

  • I think I am going to do the same thing. I have heels that I love and they are really comfortable. I can't stand the thought of wearing white shoes for an outdoor wedding. They would be stained from the grass any ways.

I too hate "bridal" shoes.  I got a pair of Clark's sandals for my wedding.  (http://clarks.zappos.com/n/p/dp/65990070/c/25688.html) They're wedges, so they'll be easy to walk on grass/soft ground (we're having an outdoor wedding).  The upper part of the shoe is pewter, and that's what people are most likely to see peeping out from under my dress as I walk.  My second choice was a pair of clover green heels, though - definitely not bridal white!

    Hey those are pretty cute!
  • i'm thinking about wearing blue sandals with my dress... i'm pretty good with heels, so i dont mind the heels, but my mom was horrified when i told her i was gonna wear blue high heeled sandals!?
  • Because of the material in the lining of my dress, I had to get shoes that had no rhinestones or pearls to keep them from catching. I decided on a pair of wedges (http://www.shoes.com/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?p=EC1205653&pg=5118750&icid=undefined) to give me the height I need (I'm 8" shorter than my FI) without feeling like I might topple over!
