Girls with total budget of $15,000 or less

I'm trying to help someone find a venue that will be very low budget.  She's looking between Worcester, MA, and Southern ME.

Her total budget that includes everything is $10,000.
She doesn't need a photographer
She has a DJ for $700 and an Ipod for the ceremony.
Flowers will only be the bp
So she probably has around $5-$7,000 to work with I'm thinking for venue and food.  Her guest list is at 215 but they want 175

I've also already gone through the NH knotties page.  Thanks in advance.

We are using celebratsion catering. They have been amazing, and are costing us about 5k for 150. And for a venue we are using the Elks lodge. Its very pretty inside and is only $500 to rent. So definitely check out places like that in the area, they definitely are not as "sketchy" as people claim they are!

Try  Blissfull Meadows in Uxbridge, MA

My friend got married there for under that amount. Entrees are about $25 pp

If she doesn't have a date nailed down, she might want to check into off-season pricing. A lot of venues have signicant discounts for weddings between November and February/March. (We saved $8,000 by having our wedding on a Friday night in November.)

Has she tried Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers, MA?  My sister got married there and it seemed to be a great deal (good food too!). Her wedding was smaller than your friends' but it would be worth a look IMHO.

I'm going with Holiday Inn Tewksbury Andover, and getting a great deal.  I think my food/hall, etc is $7k total and it's A LOT of food.

David also has a million different options for brides and can pretty much make anything work.

While it's not directly in the two areas you mentioned, the Portsmouth Elks Club (it's close to Southern ME) is in a very pretty location (right on Sagamore Creek) and their prices were super reasonable.  I can't remember how many people they said they could fit but I believe it was in the 150-175 range.
  • I am using the Chemlsford Elks Lodge. It was just redone and is gorgeous inside. It can fit 200 people. It is costing me $550 to rent and $80 extra the day of for bartenders. I am still looking for a caterer and my budget is the same if anyone has any suggestions :)
