I had this horrible morning...gained weight after I had one of those "perfect" Weight Watchers weeks...stayed on points and exercised my butt off. I came home, quit WW and just sobbed. Then I realized that my fiance is marrying me for me and doesn't expect me to lose weight just for one day of our lives together. So...after that I headed out to David's Bridal for my first appointment. I thought it would be disastrous and truly, all of the dresses I thought I would love, I hated. Then the consultant brought me this absolutely stunning cotton shantung, empire waist dress by Galina. It is SO flattering and SO comfortable! I could have laid down and taken a nap in it! It even has pockets!!! After becoming frustrated with headpieces (I have very short spiky blonde hair and at 46 I felt a little silly in all the tiaras and veils), my friend suggested a birdcage style. They brought out this silver headband with white feathers/flower and netting and OMG...it was PERFECT. I look like a rockstar. The whole thing is simple and stunning and elegant and retro and modern all rolled into one. My partner is wearing a kilt and the bridesmaids will be in short navy dresses. I couldn't be more thrilled. Now I'm going to concentrate on toning my back/shoulders/arms and ROCK that dress. Woohoo!!!!
