Detachable Wedding Dress?

I'm interested in getting a detachable dress because I would like to enjoy myself on the dance floor during the reception after the formal part. Or should I get a seperate dress. Any advice?

Re: Detachable Wedding Dress?

  • I have seen some dresses that have detachable trains, but don't limit yourself in scope! There are so many different styles of bustles out there, many of them actually enhance the look of the dress.

  • David's Bridal has two-in-one dresses. I tried one on, and while it wasn't for me, I can see where another bride may like it... essentially, the bottom of the gown zips off around the knee so that you have a long gown for the ceremony but a cocktail dress to dance in for the reception - all in one dress.

I'm planning on just getting my dress bustled but the two-in-one is always an option for you.

  • I've never seen a dress that wasn't detatchable. You just unzip them, and off they come! Being attached to your dress and unable to remove it seems like a painful process. I would definitely get a dress for the dancing-- dancing without one might make for an awkward situation for your family.
  • I'm almost positive that Mori Lee carries a dress that is detachable.  Look online at Mori Lee or make a phone call to 215-679--9529.  this dress shop will give you the answer!  I work there......but I'm not sure if the designer is Mori Lee......but almost positive!  And it's so cute, cause it looks great both ways.  If I find a picture of the dress, I'll send it to you!

  • Oh, it's by Private label........that's definitely the dress we carry.

  • this is a bad picture of the dress by Private Label.......but it gives you an idea.  Hope you can find it online!
  • My friend got one for her Oct wedding.  It's NMS, but I can totally see why she choose it.

    It's Martina Liana 260:
