Second Guessing Wedding Dress?? HELP!

Okay so I have a dress at bought for a good price that I love, though I dont know if its "the one".  Is it normal to have second thoughts about your dress?

Re: Second Guessing Wedding Dress?? HELP!

  • To be honest, I've never second thought my dress. I absolutely love my dress and knew from the moment that I first tried it on that it was the one. But I think it is usually normal for most brides to re-think their decisions. We all do it.
  • I've had a few fleeting second guesses, but nothing I've acted on. I fell in love with it when I bought it, so there was obviously a reason that I could justify the purchase. The best thing to do is stop looking. You won't have any temptations that way.
  • hmm not sure if this is normal but I sold the first dress I bought on ebay, I fell out of love in a big way... just make sure you think it through, try it with shoes, accessories, really give the dress a chance.
  • I've been having all kinds of second thoughts caus I've tried on too many dresses and looked at too many pictures and there are just too many that I like. Every time I'm like this could be the one, then another dress steals it's thunder. It that grass is always greener on the other side thing. So you're not alone and I would say if you still like the first dress then to stick with it or you'll probably just continue to torture yourself.
  • I have been second-guessing my dress too.  I posted almost the same post a week or so ago, ha ha!! I know how you're feeling, I love my dress, but I don't know that it's really "the one".  I think a lot of my problem is that I had myself picture in a certain stye of dress, and my dress is completely different.  My MOH says that she doubted her dress her whole engagement except for when she had it on...so maybe we should just try on our dresses everyday?? I don't really have any advice for you, just wanted to say I know how you feel....Good Luck!!
  • I also second guessed my dress. I thought I loved my first dress, and then I was starting to think about it more and more . . . and decided to just run up to a shop near my house and look around. And that's when I picked up a dress I saw on Maggie Sottero's website that I disliked online. Seeing it in person made me feel inspired, and I decided to try it on. Once it was on, I knew immediately I had made the right choice by trusting my instinct. I changed my order to the Maggie dress the very same night. And I haven't regretted it since. Trust your gut, and if you want to, look around one more time, and if you don't find anything else that amazes you like your first dress, then you'll know it was the right decidsion. Good luck on your search!
