Which of these two dresses do you like better?

I'm getting married in the fall at a wine cellar (sort of a tuscan look). Anyway I'm simply stuck between these two dresses. Which one do you like better, Ruffled or Simple one?Undecided

Re: Which of these two dresses do you like better?

  • I chose simple and elegant, but it was very close!   I think either one would look lovely in your setting.  Do you have a veil yet?  If you wanted a birdcage, I think the 2nd dress would match better, whereas a lace-trimmed veil would better match the first dress.
  • I love the ruffle one! It's trendy and something non traditional. I'm a trendy person, so I go for trendy stuff.
  • i really like the first one. have you tried both on? do you have pictures of you in both?

  • I'm not a huge fan of ruffles, so I picked the simple and elegant one.

  • I've tried both on. Not having been married before, I don't know which will represent how I'll be feeling that day. To me they've each got a different personality to them.

The simple one make's me look skinny which is nice and has a very sort of classic elegance to it and looks awesome when you add jewely with it. The ruffled one is much more fun, flirty and trendy. Plus the ruffled one is about $400 cheaper which would be better for my parents as this is the one part of the wedding they're committed to paying for.

I'm taking my MOH next weekend to try on the ruffled one and maybe I'll have look at the simple one on me too. There is a trunk show coming up and I may be able to get the simple one for less if I'm lucky but first I've got to figure out which dress I like better!
  • I tried on that top Alfred Angelo dress and I did not like it. Maybe it is because I am 5'2' but it engulfed me. I love the second one but you never know until you try them on! :)
  • I voted for the second one, but I'm a bit biased because it's similar to my dress (pic in bio if interested).  I like that it's timeless and elegant! :)
  • I love the simple one.  Here's why, I think when you look back on your pictures say 10 or 15 years from now, you'll be glad you chose a classic.
  • lovvveeee the simple/elegant one! wish we could see them on you though!
  • I'm not a fan of the ruffled trend.  That was the trend in menswear about 30 years ago, and we all know how that turned out.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
