Tiara; yes or no

I was planning on wearing a tiara, then was told nobody is wearing then anymore. Also, they are wearing long veils. I don't want to look outdated!

Re: Tiara; yes or no

  • Remember that trends are trends and don't last forever.  Wear what you like and feel good in and don't worry about the what the rest of the world is wearing.

  • If you carefully adhere to what everyone is wearing at the moment, you will look dated, albeit in a few years rather than immediately. I don't like tiaras in almost any situations, but I say wear a tiara if it's what you had your heart set on, and no one will notice whether it's trendy because they'll be looking at how happy and pretty you look.
  • I would say yes to tiara and no to long veils. I think fingertip length veils look better, long veils look 1940s to me, sorry
  • I'm wearing a tiara, wear what you want and what you like.

  • I'm wearing a tiara...and I will have a fingertip long veil. The longer veils seem like a PITA if you ask me. I would get tangled in that sucker!

  • Well, I'm planning on wearing a tiara and maybe a veil-- but I'm going to make that decision until I find something I like, try it with my hair and then look at it with my dress. I'm not worried if a tiara is 'cheesy' or 'out of style.' I'm interested in doing what I like and want. So if you want a tiara and a short/no veil-- go for it.

  • Wear what you are you happiest with.  But I will make a case for the long veil!  I am wearing a chapel length veil, and I think it looks great depending on the situation.  I'm wearing a semi-ball gown dress and getting married in a cathedral-sized church.  If you're worried about a tiara being outdated, you could always try a jeweled headband.  I think they look pretty!
  • I say yesdo what you feel looks good for you, I'm having a fingertip length veil and a tiara, both can be seen in my siggy.

  • ok you know what you want to do so i won't tell you that. i think what you want to know is does a tiara look dated? yes, i think so. Dated/princessy. but i just don't like tiara's! they remind me of prom! and i am doing a long veil so i guess i would vote long veil no tiara...

  • I say do what you want. I will personally be wearing a beaded headband for some bling and probably a fingertip length veil. If you want a Tiara then rock it out!
