Shoes for beach wedding

I bought my wedding dress and luckly I only have to have it hemmed. If I was going to wear a shoe with a heal (nothing stilleto type but a good size heal) then I wouldn't have to have it hemmed (and save me some serious money in alterations).  However, since it is going to be on a beach, I was planning on wearing flip flops.  Does anyone have any recommendations on a flip flop type shoe that will give me a little height so I hopefully won't have to have too much hemmed or even none at all.

Thanks,
Julie

    [QUOTE]You could do a platform flip flop. <a href="http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265646556847&c=Page&cid=1319078561275&pagename=vsdWrapper&redir=true20111118" rel='nofollow'>http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265646556847&c=Page&cid=1319078561275&pagename=vsdWrapper&redir=true20111118</a>

Yup, and they are comfortable too!

  • Yes, depending how high of a heel you need a platform flip flop might work for you.

Also, after having my bridal portraits taken on the beach, the photographer was right that the sand is very forgiving of dress length.  My dress was hemmed for three and a half inch heels but I was barefoot during the entire photo shoot.  Out of 300 pictures there were only a few where the bottom of my dress looked a little funky.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
