veil lenght for petite brides?

 keep reading that petite brides should choose an elbow length veil?!

I read waist lenght could be look too short on petite brides (cut 50% of the body). 

Ladies, what length veil are you wearing?  I'm leaning toward fingertip.   What will you be doing?

I'm 5'2 and I am wearing a fingertip length veil!!! I do not think it makes me look short. It looks very nice with my dress which I think is more importnat when picking a veil.

I'm 4'10".  I don't have my veil yet, but I am leaning toward elbow length, possibly fingertip.  My dress has a chapel train on it, so I don't want to have too long of a veil.

Also, I don't care if it makes me look short.  I am short, and I will look short no matter what I wear.  As long as it makes me look good while looking short, I'm ok with it.

I am also 5'2''. My dress had a lot of bling as well. I was more worried about taking away from the dress. I wore a elbow length veil, but the fingertip was a close second. Actually, I had trouble decided until my sister/MOH made the decision for me.

I want elbow length.  I hadn't thought about others making me look short.  I just don't want to cover up the back of my dress!

I'm 5ft even and I wore a cathedral length veil and it was perfect with my height and dress.

I'm 5'1 and I wore a fingertip length veil and I personally loved it and thought it looked great.

ETA: Elbow length is waist length for me and I think most people so that advice seems a bit contradictory.

I'm 5'2" and wearing a chapel length.  That's what I wanted, and I look beautiful in it.  My mom kept trying to give me a fingertip at first, and I just didn't think it was for me.  When she saw the veil I bought, she ended up agreeing that it does look good.
