Bridesmaid Dresses

I'm planning my wedding for next september and I'm narrowing down bridesmaid dresses for my bridesmaids. However, I have many bridesmaids who live in different cities and the only national carrier I know is David's Bridal. Not knocking David's Bridal but they do not offer the style of dress I want my bridesmaids to wear. I'm scared about online sites because my friend used that in her wedding and it was a complete disaster. Does anyone have any good suggestions of a good website or national dress shop that I can get dresses from?

Re: Bridesmaid Dresses

  • not sure how many stores they have, but Alfred Angelo has a variety of stores; or you may want to try a department store like Macys or Nordstrom too. Or it may be easier for you to pick a color and have them just get a dress.

If they are similar body types you may get away with having whoever can shop with you try a dress on and then when you pick one you can just get the other girls measurements-- I had to this for a wedding and I was nervous but the dress came in and it fit perfectly.  That can definitely be a hit or miss situation, but if they get professionally measured, it shouldn't be too hard to get their right size.

  • I suggest ordering them from RKBridal.com.  It is a brick and mortar store in NYC that carries many many many designers.  You can have your girls try them on at a local store and then order them online through RK.  Their online prices are unbeatable.  For example, for my sister's wedding we all tried on a Bill Levkoff dress at our local Macy's and then ordered them online together from RK.  This way, they were all cut from the same fabric.  You can mail them to all one address or each girl's address.

I am considering outerinner.com coz I check dozens of reviews on them, results come out pretty good. She got away without having to pay any customs, they cost her around $55 each!! If i didn't already have my dresses i'd def be following in her footsteps!! They are great quality and she is delighted with them!
