need help arranging colors....

I would like to do a soft Raspberry red dress for the maids, but also want to incorporate cobalt blue.... how do i do that with the tuxes??  i have the tcolors, but am not sure how to place them!!?  would it look better to have cobalt blue maids dresses and then red accent on the men with dark grey tuxes...except for the groom...his must be black

Re: need help arranging colors....

  • I'd do all the guys in black tuxes.  I'd put the maids in the raspberry and the guys in cobalt ties and vests.

  • thanks for the suggestion.....and then have the maids with flowers that have some blue to tie it together??  is that too much??  all of the pics i've seen of bridesmaids in red didn't look like it flowed well....i guess my issue is making sure those colors flow...thanks for the help!
  • ok...it's still rasp dresses with blue flowers  OR   cobolt dresses with pink flowers....which is the difference??  I think i'm scared of the red dresses...i'm just thinking too much!!!
  • You could ask your bridesmaids if they have a preference?

Blueis more flattering on a broader range of skin tones.  I was going to do light green dresses and blue accents on the guys, but we switched it when the girls tried on the light green and half of them looked washed out or ill. . . .Girls in Blue dresses and guys in light green vests.  Always stick the "harder" color on the guys.  THen again, if all your maids are olive-toned babes, they'll look great in the red.
  • lol.   i'm the MOH at my sister's wedding this upcoming sat.   being the bridzilla that she is (not really)  she has "mandated" that everyone is tan...i def just bought a can of sunless tanning...i guess red would/could be horrible for extremely pale skin tones.  i think that secretely why I didn't ask my maids.    Aside from not completely knowing who to choose, I know hands down that i dont usually wear red.  blue can be a more comfortable color to wear.    Oh, descisions, descisions....thanks for the suggestions!!
