Trunk Sale?

Do most stores offer a discount if you buy a dress during a trunk sale? What if it is a dress my the same designer as the trunk sale, but an older dress that is not being featured during the sale. I'm just trying to figure out if a trunk sale is a good place to get a deal. Thanks!

From what I've heard, you sometimes get a 10-20% discount but not sure whether it's only on the new styles.  Aside from the discount, you get a selection of all the styles at the trunk show rather than just the few styles the store would usually carry.  So while it's not necessarily going to get you the best deal (the best deals can come from buying secondhand dresses or sample dresses), a trunk show can still be a good place to find a dress.

I think the one I was at had a 15% discount for the new dresses, and a 10% for the old styles - or vice versa, I don't remember exactly.  Your best bet would probably be to call the store having the trunk show ahead of time to find out exactly what their deals are.
