Shoe conundrum

I recently purchased my wedding gown. It is a champagne satin with ivory lace overlay, applique, and beading.

I am unsure what shoe color or style would work best. I don't want to overpower the dress, as it has so much detail itself. I've thought about doing ivory or champagne satin, but worry it may clash if it's not the right shade. I've also toyed with the idea of doing a colored satin (my wedding colors are light blue, brown, and burgundy). Help...

Re: Shoe conundrum

  • Agree with PP, your dress is wonderful! Match the sash.
  • You can always get your shoes colored or dyed too. If you go with that go with the ivory because you don't want a darker shoe under the dress it would show to much. Doing a lighter color will blend in more to match the ivory overlay
  • Don't stress too much about an exact match, everyone can only see your toes most of the night.
I have to second (third?) matching the sash.  I think light blue if you do one of the colors, but I really can't picture the dress with that either.
  • WOW! That dress is incredible!!!!!!!!!!   I agree, match the sash, go classic and simple with the shoes...not to take away from the dress.
