Jewelry Question

My engagment ring is white gold, but because of my pale skin I'm leaning toward yellow gold for my earrings and necklace. Would it be strange to wear a pearl necklace when my dress is covered in pearls and my hairpiece(http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Galina-Bridal-Comb-with-Pearl-Clusters-9692_Accessories-Headpieces-Pins-Combs-Flowers) has them too?

I think you can wear a pearl necklace, but then I will be wearing a pearl ring, a pearl pin on my dress, a pearl bracelet, a pearl and rhinestone headband, and possibly a pearl necklace.  My dress doesn't have any pearls on it by itself though. 

If you are going for simple medal work on the earrings/ necklace, I think it might look better to keep it white gold.  If you always wear yellow gold or if there is going to be a lot of metal visible on the earrings/ necklace, then maybe wear yellow. 

I prefer white gold myself, but I have a ring my grandmother gave me that is yellow and I wear it with other items in white.   You could also consider rose gold, or items that use both white and yellow.  Everyone will understand why your ring is one color and the rest of your jewelry another.

I think it would make a lot of sense to wear a pearl necklace when your dress is covered in pearls, but i like consistancy.

I think a pearl necklace would be pretty, but I would keep it to a single thin strand that sits somewhat close to the neck.
