Really Dumb Question

So...I want my wedding band to be a solid eternity band of diamonds. I have pretty big hands and long fingers so I want the diamonds to be pretty big, which could get bulky and uncomfortable. We bought a cheap-o fake ring of a similar size to see if it would be too uncomfortable and now I have this huge green ring around my finger. I'm going to paint the inside of the ring with clear nail polish so this doesn't keep happening, but is there any way to get this off?

See? I told you it was a dumb question. :)

  • Try a little nail polish remover?

Yeah CMGr...the more we talk about this ring to my jeweler, the more I really shouldn't get it. The shared-setting style I want typically doesn't last long (which for a wedding band, obviously it needs to last a while) - he said they need to be re-set every 5-10 years because the metal wears down and diamonds can fall out. He also said that if I bang it too hard and it dents a little and isn't perfectly circular, stones could fall out. :(  I'm really not one to care about the "princess weddng I pictured when I was a kid" but this type of ring is the only one I ever considered getting. We're going to the jeweler again next week to see what my other options are. :(  Thanks so much for your input.
  • Yeah, look into one with just diamonds along the top. It what I have for my wedding ring and I imagine it would look much like what you'd get from an eternity band but more comfortable, resizable, etc. etc.
