Maggie Sottero White vs. Diamond White?

Hi All,
I'm curious, what is the difference between white/white and diamond white in Maggie Sottero gowns? I'm looking to purchase the SaBelle and have no idea what the difference between the two colors is. The SaBelle I tried on at the bridal store was the Ivory/Light Gold...So I'm lost...any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!!!

Re: Maggie Sottero White vs. Diamond White?

  • I am getting a Maggie (Leoni) in Diamond White.
The owner of the bridal salon I ordered my dress at said that Diamond White looks like a pure white, but is less harsh.  She said it is easier for pictures, different types of lighting (outside/inside/different sites).

    I hope that helps!

  • I wore a white one, I'm not sure if it was diamond white though....but this is what it looked like!  Lovely choice!

  • I would see if the shop has any other Maggies you could see the color in. When I initially started looking I thought I would go with Ivory - but all the Maggie's I tired on where diamond white & looked great.  I ended up going with another brand and their diamond white looked WHITE so I ordered ivory.  I think the Maggie diamond white is very nice - not harsh white, maybe like a very very light shade of ivory.
  • My dress was diamond white. DH wore white, so you can kind of see a bit of the difference. Ask to see Maggies in the different colors. The sample I tried on was light gold as well, and diamond white is definitely whiter than that.

  • And don't forget the Sabelle is made of Taffeta!
  • Diamond white is just a light ivory....My veil is "ivory" and matches my diamond white Maggie perfectly!! Very few skin tones can pull off a true bright white...diamond white looks gorgeous on anyone!
  • Diamond white is a softer white that is less harsh than stark white- it's very pretty!
  • I order SaBelle in Diamond White because it is a taffeta gown.  Pure white in taffeta is verrrry bright (possibly the bright fabric white there is lol)!  And my bridal consultant said that the designers send them the dresses in the color that they feel it looks best in (my salon had diamond white, so I'm assuming that's true for most other salons as well) so it was what I tried on.

Also, with SaBelle, remember there is lace and if you try on the Diamond White dress and see how the lace looks in that color, there may be a difference in how the lace appears to the eye in the pure white.

    Hope this helps!
