Trunk Shows...are they worth it?

has anybody ever gone to one? I wasn't planning on looking for my dress until the summer, but there is a trunk show for the designer of the dresses I like in a few weeks and im kinda curious. Is it worth scheduling an appointment during this time?

I would say yes if you really like a particular designer. They usually always offer 15-20% off of the dresses at that time. I bought mine at a trunk show, it's a Martina Liana and it took $300 off the price of the dress so I definitely thought it was worth it.

i had thought i heard they give discounts, 300 bucks off is great! lets hope i can find one with even a bit off normal price

Call the salon soon and make an appt, I've heard they book up on those days fast.

I bought my dress during a trunk show.  There are usually pretty good sales and sometimes you can get a look at upcoming season's  dress selection.

I went to one a few years back. To be honest, for me, even discounted, the dresses are more than I feel like paying. But if you know you love  particular designer and have a designer bridal gown in your budget, why not take advantage of a great discount.

i would go, especially if there is a particular dress you like. i don't know how it is with your particular shop or designer, but i went to a trunk show which was all new dresses and i found out after the fact that i could have requested an older dress that i liked and they could have brought it with the trunk show dresses. the shop even offered the dress to me at the trunk show price when they located the sample a week later.

@sara...i know how you feel. the dresses i like are under 1000, but still even being close to that number for one dress does make me cringe...so if theres a chance i can get it cheaper, its worth a shot!
