Lace Gowns

Anyone have an all lace gowns? If you like lace, what are your favorites? I have tried on so many, and I can't figure out what I like.

Re: Lace Gowns

  • I have a lace gown that is alencon lace with no beading. I tried on a lot of lace dresses with different kinds of lace. I think its just individual preference, since even within one type of lace there are different patterns
  • I just bought mine today. I wasn't against lace but I wasn't purposefully looking for lace. Mine has beading and pearls on it. I'm adding a sash and maybe a broach, but i'm not sure if the broach would be too much. I love the lace as it is timeless and will never go out of style.

  • agree that it is about preferenece. I have ssen so many that I loved and they were all so different.

Here are some designers with beautiful lace gowns (@ various price points):

    Casablanca
    Enzoani/Blue by Enzoani
    Alfred Angelo Sapphire
    Justin Alexander
    Bellissima couture
    James Clifford
Pricilla of Boston - It may be Mellisa Sweet or the Reverie line

  • Ooooooh! LOVE lace gowns, I have an all over lace Jim Hjelm (http://www.jlmcouture.com/Jim-Hjelm/Bridal/Additional/Style-8663) that I cannot wait to wear. I love the more modern styles so was really surprised when I ended up with something more classic, but I couldn't have chosen a better dress for me Laughing
  • I didn't think I wanted a lace gown until I actually started trying dresses on. My dress is Maggie Sottero Clarissa, but doesn't have the flower seen in the picture.

Love my gown and cannot wait until it comes in.  I love the way the lace flows on a lot of the dresses I tried on, they have movement.  They felt more sophisticated than the ballgowns that I tried on.  I needed coverage on my back because I have scarring and this made me feel like my skin was showing and sexy while at the same time giving me coverage that I needed.

I also loved the casablance 1900 (I think).  It's popular but it is one of the most flattering gowns I tried on.
