Flip Flops Or Not??

Hi,

I am planning a St Patricks Wedding for March 2014.  I was tossing around the idea of having a basket of flip flops for the guests at the reception.  Living in Pennsylvania I am not sure of the weather last year it was 75 degrees 2 years ago it was freezing with lots of snow on the ground.  So my question is do I do the flip flop thing or no?  I also thought it would be cute to offer ballet "slippers" for the guests so if you might know of somewhere I could get these in bulk for cheap please let me know!!  If I could find them that could solve my problem.

</div><div>I am never a fan of flip flops at weddings.  Chances are, you're buying the cheap, plastic ones......and they aren't comfortable.  I tend to dress appropriately for the occassion.  If I know I'm gonig to be dancing, I'll wear shoes that are broken in.  Or I'll bring my own flats if I think I want to change into them.   I won't be wearing $1 Old Navy flip flops.</div><div>

  • I'd say don't bother providing footwear for guests.  It's not as if you're hosting a beach wedding in the middle of summer.  Save that money for something for you.  How about some lovely lingerie?  Or a new book?  Or a new camera to take along on your honeymoon?
  • I agree, the whole thing seems like a waste of money.
  • I agree. The really cheap flip flops are not comfortable, and I always dress in appropriate footwear for the occasion. I think it's an expense you can do without.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
