Who's around?

Re: Who's around?

  • FI and I are going to see the Cards when they come to play the Mets next week, so that should be fun.  Other than that, I'm looking forward to my summer classes being over in a few weeks and then we're off to San Fran!

FI would be so jealous that you get concert tix for giving blood. Smile
  • 1 bottle pp sound more appropriate. Mmmm!

I do not want to go to work tomorrow :(
  • npas: we don't normally get concert tickets but once a year we do! What are you doing San Fran?  Have you been before? Cause I used to live in nor cal and make some recommendations.

That's awesome!  We picked SF for our vacation because of the oil spill and hurricane season in the Carribean.  We both have always wanted to go there.  My dad actually lives in SF, but he'll be working during the week, so we're pretty much on our own.  The girls here gave me a bunch of recommendations of where to go, but I can always use more!

Go to Little Chihuahuas! and get a plantain burrito, they're to die for. They're down in Haight.
  • Hi!

Today I....packed.  And played with the baby.  We're slowly getting there.

  • npas: let me just tell you this: Have dinner in north beach one night. The Stinky Rose is really famous and really good.  Also even though the bubba gump shrimp company is just a franchise, in SF the location is amazing and totally worth it. Have a great time!

  • It has been pretty dead...blegh.
Yess, I think my laundrys almost done- woohoo!
  • We went out to dinner and I maaaaay have gotten tipsy. Then cried about everything. Then called Salt. And texted Sco. Ugh.

  • Hahah brooke- why? Everything ok?
  • Thanks for the advice, ladies.  Ugh, back to writing. Frown
  • Ugh, it's so stupid now. I heard a song on the radio I wanted to hear, but DH turned it off with the steering wheel controls. Totally messing with me. And right before we left for dinner, I got upset because he implied that everything in the apt is mine and that I have like 9 closets. It's totally true, and I feel bad about it, but he brought almost nothing here when we moved. It wasn't even like a fight. I was feeling bad about it, he mentioned it, water works.

And then! then, he didn't think paying twice as much was worth it for real Ziploc bags. For shame!

  • Awww Brooke, hahaha :( I get like that sometimes.
The other night T said he didn't want to be there when I give birth (not seriously) and then when I said I'm going to make sure I look good (have my hair and makeup done) he was like "yeah right". Yea- it made me cry. I'm a baby.

I had this exact argument with H a few months ago.  Luckily, one of his cheap bags split and exploded in the freezer last week.  We buy the good ones now ;)

Cory is dead serious about not being in the delivery room for, as he calls it "go time".  He wants to be like the old-school tv dads and just pace in the hallway until he hears a baby cry.

It's almost like it was the elephant in the room and he said it forst and I made him the bad guy. It's really not a big deal. I seriously have the best husband, honest. But this was hanging in the air. Poor guy - ever since I'd been off birth control, my emotions are uuuunleeeeeeashed :)

  • Anna- thats what T said! He's like men didnt used to be in the room. I dont care, he is being there (which he will be). Thing is, he wasfreaking in the room when his niece was born...

Brooke- also, if it makes you feel better...T and I got into a huge argument over bread. I wanted him to buy the cheaper bread that we always get that is GOOD and he wanted to get the more expnsive $5 loaf.
  • I have the best husband - case in point. He went to the store to get the stuff the first grocery store (Basha's, Roxy, boooooO!) didn't have an got me Redbook because Jillian Michaels is on the cover and he thought I might want to read it. I love him.

  • Aww that was niceof him! I never go to bashas. I don't really like any of our grocery stores here except safeway (which is too expensive) so we go to either Fresh N easy or Frys
  • And he got my sausages and cut them all apart because I sliced my finger this week trying to separate frozen patties. I'm such a biotch.

I hate Basha's, and mostly go to Fresh n Sleazy. I go to Safeway for the stuff that the other two don't carry.
