In Response to Re: Morning! : Fortunately my company offers a really good package, it's just expensive. And I'm going to have to pay the smoker rates because I'll be just short of the cut off of when you had to quit smoking to not pay the extra. It could be a lot worse, so I'm thankful that we still have options, it'll all work out.

This is a silly question, but how easy is it to lie about not being a smoker for insurance purposes?

    Good morning everyone!

I'm just at work today, hopefully getting off a little early. Gonna go meet with a mortgage person about buying a house, and start getting all of whatever it is she needs in order and possibly look at a few houses afterward.

After that, nada. Just home, dinner and TV. I'm so exciting I don't know how y'all stand it!

The weather is supposed to be 72 here today so I wore short sleeves! Warm weather here = an allergy season from Hell though so I'm waiting on the snotties. lol

    That would be insurance fraud.

Raynes - I'll keep watching it, but I can't promise anything. Because it's not that it's bad - but I kind of find myself watching and going, "ehhh...come on...someone jump out and bite the cop!" Maybe it's just not moving fast enough for me yet.

DMill - Sometimes the universe's timing really, really sucks. I'm sorry you're hitting a rough patch, but I'm sure everything will work itself out.
oh wow Dmill. That's horrible. Sounds like it might be for the best for him to change careers :) What does he want to do?
    Posted by Steph+J
He really wants to get on with the railroad, lol. He has a couple of friends that work locally and they love it. They've been there for over 10 years and are really happy. He likes to work outside and be up moving all day. He needs to go through some classes to get certified in welding and some heavy machinery stuff before they would consider him. Timing wise it has the potential to work out really well. He'd be done with all his classes and certs about the same time that I should be coming back from maternity leave.
In Response to Re: Morning! : One problem (despite ethics) with lying to any insurance company about anything is if they are somehow able to find out later, they can deny all claims. Never really a good idea.

For the record, I don't smoke or lie to insurance companies. :) I just kind of figured that people could technically lie about it you know?

ETA: nor was I suggesting that DMill lie about it...

You have to sign a form agreeing that you could get blood tested.
It sucks to be out the extra $750, but it would suck a lot more to lose my insurance or even my employment for insurance fraud. I'm a firm believer that lying about that kind of stuff will come back to haunt you, so I just don't do it.

OK this is really random, but my mind has been blown a bit. I did not know that a, say, 32 D does not have the same exact cup size as a 36D. The 36D is something like 33% bigger. I just found that out this morning. I always assumed cup size was cup size and didn't increase with band size.

Thanks edie :) I took the master level exam back in December and passed, but the clinical level is harder and has a lot more questions related to the DSM, so I'm trying to focus on that. Hopefully I will pass because it's $300 to take it, so I really don't want to have to take it again!

The letter indicates the number of inches difference between the band and the fullest part of the breast. So with a D, that's 4", so a 32 D is 36" at its widest, while a 36D is 40" at its widest.

When you have giant knockers you learn a lot about bras. :)

To get an equivalent cup size, you need to move diagonally on the chart. So, 32D = 34B (both are 36" at their widest).

For some reason, I had never figured that out before or heard that. But it makes so much sense. I have a friend that is a 32D, and I just thought- seriously? she doesn't look like a D cup. But she could probably be a B. Not trying to be creepy by checking out my friends, but we have definitely discussed our sizes before.

    Congratulations DMill, Rho & Hike!

I spent last night balancing eggs and brooms. Even though Snopes debunks it having anything to do with the spring equinox, it's still fun. Yes, my life is that boring.
I do not want to go to work today. Congrats Hike and Rho! I missed her announcement too. D that sucks. You might check the COBRA prices for your husbands insurance before you switch because it may be cheaper to carry t fir a while if your employers medical is really expensive. Random thing about poop that I should have mentioned yesterday, for all of you pregnant ladies experiencing constipation, black licorice will solve that. And it doesn't take that much either.
    Posted by Dot Dash
I've heard that... except black licorice is apparently harmful to the fetus. So, boo.

ETA: it's only the 'real' licorice. (I.e. the black stuff.) Twizzlers and fake sugar licorice are fine, supposedly.
