I don't know if any of you have come across this blog post yet or a story about it. It's getting a little bit of notice here on the interwebz.
ClickyI know it's kind of long, so just skim it if you're interested. It's a blog post from a mother whose 5 year old son decided he wanted to dress up as Daphne from Scooby Doo. She describes making sure he truly wanted to be that (since kids change their minds frequently) and the reaction from other Moms at his pre-school on the day he dressed up. She then expresses her feelings on the way they reacted and commented on it.
I just think it's sad. As a grown adult with a child, you don't have to like the idea of this or may find it strange. But FFS, have enough tact to keep your mouth shut about it, especially in front of the kid.
