Hey everyone! Good Monday morning. 

How was everyone's weekends? We got huge storms here yesterday which were pretty awesome. It was basically pitch black at 2 in the afternoon. Today, I'm going on a walk around base and then going to used bookstores. I'm weirdly excited for that.

Does anyone have a yummy, lighter chicken salad recipe they can share? I'm in the mood but I also don't like heavy mayo salads.

I have a serious case of the Mondays. I've been awake since 3am, so today is going to drag. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Hike - try this (<---- clicky) one. It's from the Biggest Loser, and I wasn't sure if it would be good, but I really liked it. I swapped the Dijon mustard for honey mustard and it was delicious.

Send some of that rain our way! The radar said we should have been getting pounded with rain, but we got hardly anything. It also said rain for this morning and all I see is sunshine.

I had a great night of awesome TV last night, and today I'm sad because none of my shows are on. I still need to go shopping for my mom's gift since the stupid store wasn't open yesterday.

In other news, my arm hurts. It feels like someone is pressing their finger really hard into the area where the wrist meets the hand, and just below the inner elbow joint, both dead center. I'm seriously considering asking my doc to get tested for RA now.

Me too. I haven't slept past 4am for a month, so I'm starting to feel the effects of that. I don't know what it is, but the doctor is blaming the baby. THANKS, BABY. I'm blaming the asshole bird that sits in the tree in front of my bedroom window...it shrieks instead of chirps. Ugh.

The grapes do add a nice layer to the salad, for sure. H hates fruit in his food unless it's dessert, so I make this for him with other stuff in it - chopped up peppers or broccoli slaw mix or whatever. It's consistently good and holds up well for work.

Sesh- Maybe it'll feel better this week after you go back to regular work hours.

Sept- I can't sleep past 5:30 or 6 but it's because of my asshole dogs.

I have a feeling they will require the same OT demands this week, but luckily I already have Wednesday off, Tuesday I can only work regular hour since I'm heading out of town after, and Saturday I'm out of town for an event. Suck on that, work.

I slept way too deeply lastnight and had such a hard time getting out of bed when my alarm went off. Im running a touch late, but I really to be honest just dont care.

Im still sorta reeling from what an amazing freaking episode Mad Men was lastnight, I cant stop thinking about it. Im going to be useless at work this morning until TLo put up their review, they always catch 18million things more than I do.

If its not raining when I get home from work, Im going to replant my green onions. I did some digging around and NOTHING grew - I am pretty sure it really just got too cold for them to do anything. We have had the dumbest spring ever. Record temps in march and then colder than normal in april, stupid. Im not impressed.

Morning! We had a really fun weekend but I wish we had another day to recover. Luckily work should be steady this week. 

I was so annoyed by the Amazing Race finale last night, I won't give anything away but I basically hated all of the teams that were in the final 3. 

I love chicken salad. I really should make some of my own but I'm too lazy to make the chicken ahead of time. Luckily (or not?) the cafeteria at work has excellent chicken salad although I imagine it's high in fat.

No, weve stopped watching it on Sunday. We also watch the killing and switching to AMC right before mad men kept messing us up cause we kept seeing the end of the killing and the "whats happening next week" bit. so we just watch game of thrones on demand now.

Well, let me know when you do. One part led to an argument (playful) between H and me about how all "us women" are sneaky in our sexual wiles. I think H was just mad that I understood what was happening at the one part and started laughing, and he didn't until I explained it to him.

Good morning!  I have so much work to get done before lunch.  After lunch I have to go on location for a pre-planning video shoot today at an extension research facility.  I was looking forward to it until I realized that it's going to be pouring.  Just what I need, to walk around a gazillion acres of turfgrass in the rain on a Monday.  At least I'll be getting some exercise in!

And I just want to say that I'm really disappointed with how they are interpreting Game of Thrones this season.  Last season was awesome, but they are leaving out so many people/events and changing a bunch of stuff this time around.  I'm having a hard time enjoying it because I keep comparing it to the books.

Shay, if they put in any more people or events, I wouldn't watch. I can barely keep the people straight now because there are so many of them. H and I are always asking who someone is supposed to be. Eventually I just ignore names and watch for the fun of it. Otherwise it's too convoluted.

Cinco de Mayo kicked my arse.  I don't know how I did any of that sillyness in college.  It's a typical Monday here.  Hopefully things pick up.  Also, I wasn't around at all this weekend...  Did Raynes have to get induced or did the baby make an appearance beforehand?!

Morning and happy Monday!

We are due up for all of the storms today/tonight so that should be exciting. The water is getting really high here because we had a ton of storms last week too.

Weekend was fun--FI and I made our own mint juleps and wore his ugliest hats around the apartment. Yesterday we went and hung out by the pool and even though it was past 5 I got burnt.  We worked on our DJ lists and we picked out most of the important songs. All that's missing is me and my Dad's song. My favorite is our pie cutting song "Candy" by Mandy Moore. We both secretly love that song.

Blue - the stomach bug is the worst one. I personally can handle most pain better than anything like nausea. Yuk. Feel better soon.

Had a decent, relaxed sort of weekend. I know this is weird, but we just started watching Mad Men a few months ago - love it. I liked this past episode a lot and I LOVED the one before that.

Morning!  This week is hell week-- exam tonight, exam tomorrow morning, a paper to write, and another exam on Saturday morning.  I'm pretty confident about how I did on my exam Saturday morning, and had a really good weekend even including having an exam at 8AM on a Saturday, which was a lovely surprise.

Nebb.  I'm effing obsessed with this season of Mad Men.  I want to watch the episodes over and over, and don't have time to right now.  I haven't gotten to watch GoT for the last few weeks, but BF and I are having a marathon of the ones we've missed the day after exams are over.
