Missus, I don't remember any drama with you except when I first started posting, which was in November, and I think you were openly admitting trying to stir the pot. The only reason I even remember is b/c in your sig pic, you looked like someone I know, so you stuck in my head. Since then, I don't recall anything. It's probably safe to come out and play.

Edited to change Lia to Missus b/c Liatris is Lia.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

I'm a serial lurker, so I'm going to go crazy and take this opportunity to jump in and play...

I'm Emily, and I'm obviously not very creative with screennames. I'm an internal auditor at a bank, which is probably one of the most unpopular positions at my company (nobody is happy when the auditors show up...). My fiance's a high school English/special ed teacher, and we're getting married in June. We own a big old Victorian era house right outside of the city of Pittsburgh, and I'm slowly trying to fill it with furbabies. Right now, we've got an Aust. Cattle Dog/Lab/Shepherd mix, Toby, a tuxedo kitty named Michael J. Cat (cause he can't be Michael J. Fox since, you know, he's a cat, haha), and a fluffy grey kitty named Grayce.

I like to read and I can't wait until work/wedding stuff calms down in a few months so I can get back to my books. I see a couple of you mentioned the Game of Thrones series...that's high on my "must-read" list. I'm also a yoga junkie and can be found on my mat 4-5 times a week, trying to figure out new ways to stand on anything but my feet.
• Hi! I'm Lyanna Stark, deceased sister of Ned Stark and one true love of Robert Baratheon. I like blue roses and direwolves. And don't get me started about the whole thing with Rhaegar Targaryen.

It warms my heart to see that so many of you will get that.

I'm an actual live human in New Orleans. I mostly lurk but I'll probably get chattier pretty soon - I've never thought about or really paid attention to weddings so I'm kind of starting at square one here and holy shiiite it's expensive and terrifying.

FI and I went to college together, moved to different sides of the country for 10 years, couldn't ever quite stop thinking about each other, then kind of realized we were right all along and dove straight into this awesome life together, which is totally the kind of thing I NEVER do, and which is easily the coolest thing that's ever happened to me.

I have one really old cat that FI is hilariously unexpectedly in love with. I'm a wino and a bibliophile and a TV nerd. Sounds like I'm in good company.

• I wanna play. I've written so many life stories on these boards some of this may be repetitive.

My name is Michelle, I'm 28 years young, I was born and raised in Southern California.  I've been married for almost 6 months but have been with my H for almost 10 years. We have two children together and two Boxer dogs. For a living, I am a business major and my area of expertise is in Procurement but am currently working in aftermarket sales. Nothing fancy, I sell compressor parts for the refinery/petro-chemical industry. I love my job but it is very tedious so I come on here daily to unload. My H is an electrical engineer and a major nerd; we are Marvel enthusiasts and love the outdoors. I'm not into reading but I love comedy and action movies. Oh and I watch those crime shows on the Investigation Discovery channel.

I used to use Spanish all of the time at work, but not so much now, so I'm trying to keep my skills up and I figured that reading the HP series in another language couldn't hurt! I'm dying to go to HP world... the next time I go to Florida, I'm making it a point to stop there and get a butterbeer!

Hi all. I'm a longtime lurker, once in a while poster but never really introduced myself. I'm Lori. Jersey girl, born and raised. I'm a nurse, I work in the OR. I have 2 dogs that I am pretty much obsessed with -a German Shepard mix and a Pekingnese mix. I will try to post pictures of them when I figure out how. I'm getting married New Years Eve. I simultaneously love and hate wedding planning. It's mostly annoying but also kinda fun. Happy to meet everyone!
• Hi everyone!

I'm going to take the chance to introduce myself too - I'm just starting to come out of lurkerdom and talk on the boards! I feel at home with the first two posters being close to me - I'm also from outside Toronto - I work at a research organization and just recently graduated with my MA!

I'm getting married in October - I started off absolutely hating wedding planning and have started to enjoy it a little more after the big scary things got figured out. I can be really indecisive so deciding on venue, caterer etc was a nightmare - flowers, cake etc is a lot more fun (plus - cake tasting! Yum!)

I have two furbabies (LOVE that so many knotties are dog/cat people) - a two year old sheltie/hound cross and a three year old cat! I also an a big fan of everyone's book tastes - currently in the middle of reading the Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey but the HP and Game of Thrones series are two of my favs! Also re-watching the TV show Bones :)

Great to meet you all!
• Hello all... I haven't read through all of the responses. I used to be somewhat regular on E before the exodus, but definitely lurked more than anything. I decided to change my screen name because of Internet anonymity and all. I live in the Chicago burbs, am currently student teaching (will graduate in less than 2 months with my bachelors in special education), and just got married this past August. H and I have a zoo with a cat and four dogs, including our newest addition - a 9 week old Pug puppy. Baby puppy makes four generations in our house: Pepper, who is the father to Crickett, who is the mom to Chelsea, who is the aunt to baby Sparrow. And our kitty was a rescue who was dumped near death with his two brothers (both special needs) at my mom's vet clinic. We lucked into the best cat ever, but I'm a little biased.
I lurk over here a lot, but usually only post when there's a question or something since it appears to be a pretty tight knit group, but I'll play.  Also, happy to provide some entertainment last night. :) I live in Arkansas and work as a business manager for the theatre department at a university.  That means I do all the publicity, box office, and house management, as well as bookkeeping for the productions we put up and planning special events. My job has a lot of "waves" so when I'm posting all the time (like now) it's usually after a show and before we start gearing up for the next one.  I'm here 9-5 every day, and on slow days usually only have maybe 2 hours of work to do.  When I drop off the planet for a few weeks at a time, it's because I'm working 12-14 hour days and trying to do 18hours worth of work in them.  :) I've been married for 4 years come June 13th, and have been with H for 10 years come October.  We have no kids, though we're discussing TTCing this fall, but we do have 2 cats and 4 hermit crabs with more coming as soon as it gets warm enough to transport them safely. H and I have a huge vintage toy collection that takes up one entire room of the house, I love fantasy and crime novels <strong>(currently reading book one of The Dresden Files)</strong>, bad action movies and really bad scary movies, and have a huge knot-crush on Angel and gifawesomeness.
Posted by StageManager14
<div>
</div><div>Stage I absolutely loved that series. I'm actually not usually a fan of sci-fi at all, (I usually read chick-lit. There I said it), but my FI is a HUGE fan of the Dresden Files and I read the first one for him. Then I read the next 13 books because they were so amazing! If you like the first one, you have to read the next 2. The second book is not that good but the rest of them are so worht it! I hope you like it!

</div>
• I'll introduce myself too since I have posted here a couple times.

I'm an elementary music teacher, next year will be my 10th. I am also an on-and-off member of a salsa dance team (hence the sn). I perform sometimes and social dance. I love to read and my guilty pleasure is trashy reality shows. I watched every episode of Jersey Shore and Real Housewives of NY and NJ. Oh! And FI and I LOVE with "Impractical Jokers" on TruTV, it's hysterical! (He knows I have a crush on Sal and he's ok with it).

We got engaged in May 2012 and our wedding is in July 2013. We've been together about 2.5 years. I'm also a BM in my best guy friend's wedding a week before ours, which is going to be super stressful but awesome. I get to wear a saree, I can't wait!

We have a maltese who is 7 (well he's really "mine") and my FMIL's weimeraner spends half the time at our place. She is a sweetheart but absolutely crazy.

I've been lurking on TK since we got engaged, and I usually lurk on Etiquette, CC, WP, and my month board, but I check them all out when I'm bored. I've started posting in the past couple months.

Nice to meet you, ladies!

• Hey everyone! I post on SB regularly but am somewhat of a newbie. I am Rachel or rel, whichever you like. I live in central IL, relocated here from Chicago suburbs almost 2 years ago. I work in industrial sales, but am trying everything possible to make a career change. FI and I got engaged this New Year's Day and are getting married the Sat of Labor Day weekend, which will be 1 week after the 2 year anniversary of when we first met! We bought our house last Sept so most of my free time is spent decorating. I love cooking, baking, and reading and enjoy a night in much more than a night out at a quiet bar. We have a 1.5 year old German Pincher/Hound mix, Augie, that we rescued back in Oct.

Right. Because we don't have decent sized cities like Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Louis here in the Midwest.
• Ooh Oh! I want to play.

I am Alisa, said like "Alissa" just to make things difficult. I am waiting for my midlife crisis to switch to "Aleesa."

My package delivery man/competitive paintball playing FI and I live in upstate NY or I think TK might have me down as western NY.. I work for a big name bank in a small town out in cow country, like there literally farm boys in here reeking of cow all the time.

We have one furkid, Oliver. He is a mix of pitbull, kittycat, deer, and person. He is my 55lb baby and "enjoys" (read: hates) playing dress up with mom!

We got engaged October 6th while we celebrated our 2nd year of being together in Niagara Falls. FI decided to challenge me to a 6 month engagement and BOOM we made it happen. We are getting married in Las Vegas in 4 weeks 4 days, and if you'll excuse me I need to go hyperventilate about that now..

I enjoy reading, a good sauvignon blanc, primetime TV shows, and staying in pj's.

HI, my name is moemac and even though my join date is three years ago, I am new here. I joined when I was engaged to my ex but thankfully, we broke up.

I live in Boston and work in banking. My Fi just proposed about a month ago and since we are both mid to late 30's we are getting married in October.

I am not sure what else to say but thank you for the wisdom that I have picked up while lurking here.
