Album Q

When we signed our contract, we purchased a 10x10 album. That's all it says in our contract (there is no indication of how many images or pages a 10x10 album includes). The additional materials we were given at our meeting, however, clearly state that a 10x10 album has 40 sides and 120 images.

We were never told this had changed.

We received an email with a document to design our album and the 10x10 album available is 30 sides with 90 images.

We wanted 120 images, not 90. That's why we paid so much for the 10x10 album, and not the smaller one that offered 90 images (it was 8x8 I think). I emailed our photographer, but do you think I have any chance of getting the 120 images without having to pay more?

If you can prove that when you signed the contract it specifically said 12X12 with 120 images..then yes you stand a chance. If your contract doesn't CLEARLY state this...you might have a harder time.

I think it's worth fighting for if it's in the contract.  Good luck!

I used the same photographer. She pretty much does whatever she wants. My album is a 10x10 with what was supposed to be 120 images. I ended up getting a 10x10 album with 105 images and 20 sides. I hope you get what you expected and paid for, I didnt. :(

She mentioned to me while we were discussing the parent albums is that there is not guarantee she will use xx amount of pictures, 'it depends on how they fit together'.

This is a direct quote from an email I received from her on 9/24/09. (Not sure when you signed your contract):

"For the album, you will want to pick your favorite pics, about 120 of them. Or you can choose a fewer amount and allow me to pick the rest and create the album."

Chica, I know we signed a different times....

but in my contract and in the booklet she gave me it says a 10x10 has 30 sides and a 12x12 has 40 sides (no indication of how many images). And in an email she sent me after we met it says that a 10x10 has 90 images and a 12x12 has 120 images...I had asked her because I forgot what she said during our meeting.

And we signed in June 2009.

That info probably doesn't help at all, but thought I'd pipe in.

    Good Luck!

I think it never hurts to ask for what you paid for.  When you agreed to go with her (aka, agreed to pay her for xyz) you were with the understanding that you would get a specific outcome.  I would definitely try to fight for it. Good luck!

I got an email back saying we would have the 40 sides and 120 images. We signed in October of 2008. She must have some record of what everyone ordered, because she said it was in her records that we would have the 40/120.

    Thanks!
