Re: We can do so many activities!

  • If I was able to, I'd do a color run this summer. They look really fun!

  • Watch the Olympics.
    Go camping with my friends.
Go to Wildfire both this weekend and in August (September would be nice too, but I don't know if I can swing it financially to go three times).
Go to Newport RI (maybe closer to my birthday in September)
Climb Mt. Washington (this will probably not happen this year, but eventually I'm going to climb it at third time).

  • So far we only have a trip to Omaha planned for H's 40th birthday.  We'll probably spend a day or two in Kansas City first so hopefully I can meet jcb while I'm there.  I'd love to squeeze a long weekend trip to San Diego in but am not sure if that'll happen.

KD - If you want basic square cushions I can help you out.  I re-did our patio chairs a couple of years ago.

  • SO The big question is...when is the Cedar Point gtg gonna happen? I think I remember sometime in August, but do we know a specific weekend yet? I'm so excited for this, even though I can't ride any of the rides :(

Geauga Lake is still here Amy, I think we had this talk before. Sea World is gone, but Geauga is a few miles up the road from me.

Rach, I LOVE your new sig pic.

This summer we are hopefully going to finish building our house that we thought we'd be done in January. Depending on when we are done with the house we'll probably build a deck and get started on some landscaping.

If we have any free time in there we will:
    go to the lake
    BBQ
Have breakfast on our new deck
buy some furniture for our new house
take a trip to go see my family
    eat too much ice cream
find a restaurant with a patio ( I don't think there are any where we live though)

Sorry Girlie I just saw this. We have a small bistro set that got left out over the winter and the cushions got gross, but I'll probably just pick 2 up at Lowes.

I was surprised that HD didnt have the size I needed.

    But thanks for offering!

I agree Reils, it really needs to be in a magazine.

Yeah Amy it's just the waterpark now. Some the rides went to CP and some to KI.

Now it looks awful the parking lot is all grown over. I wish someone would put something there, it's in a high traffic area.

  • I still need to check out the zoo in Omaha jcb.  Hopefully we can make that happen this summer.

Jesse - what event does your friend compete in?  Also, the Hamilton pool is a great place to spend some of those hot afternoons.

KD - the offer stands if you ever need anything square sewn.  That's about the extent of my sewing abilities.  :)

  • Maine!
I didn't get to go last year, but we're definitely going this year.  My little brother moved up there last year and I want to see him.  My Nana was born and raised in Portland and still has family up there.  We used to go every summer when I was a kid, but not so much now that I'm an adult.  My fiance has never been so we're going to see the sights.
We have a groupon for two nights in VT, then driving to Maine.  We'll go to Two Lights, Lobster Shack, maybe up to Bar Harbor and Bath.  Definitely a couple of days at the lake and maybe one shopping in Freeport.  On our way back to NY we're stopping in Providence to visit friends that are moving there.  I cannot wait for August.
My spring semester ends on Monday, Summer I starts 6/5, Summer II starts 7/2.  After 8/2 I'm free til 8/28.  Also, after 7/25 my fiance can have a life again, since the insanity of the Bar will be over.

  • October might be too far out. I'll be getting pretty close and I don't want to be 3 hours away from home without Michael around. September would probably be good. How long is the park open?

  • I want to do the Cedar Point GTG, but I think most of September is going to be hard for me on the weekends.  I'm MOH in my friend's wedding, and I think her B party is going to be one of those weekends, and then the last weekend, I have a wedding to attend.  But if I can make it, I totally will.

  • The first weekend of Oct might not be too bad. I'm sure I'll be about the size equivalent of a buick, but I won't know what the dr. will say until I get closer and see how things are going.
