Morning Ladies!

Well it's Thrusday, finally.

I have to work Sunday, but I'm off Monday. But that will feel kinda strange.

We are supposed to go on a covered bridge ride on Saturday, but it may be too cold and wet for me to be on the bike for 9 hours. We'd meet up at 9:30, drive to breakfast, pick up any other riders on the way. And follow the map to each bridge. I'm just tired and want to sleep in. We'll see.

How are you ladies on this lovely day?

[QUOTE]Holy hannah, I don't care how nice the weather is, 9 hours on a bike sounds like torture to me.  Lol.  I haven't been on a bike in over a decade and I don't see that changing any time soon. And good morning!  H's BFF/wife are coming into town tomorrow.  He's so excited.  I mean, I am, too...just not as excited as he is. Well, i made another skinny taster recipe last night and was so disappointed.  Her photo made it look like a nice thick sauce on top of pork chops.  It wasn't. At.all.  So here's to having crappy leftovers for lunch.  Sigh.

I'm still supervising tests and trying not to single out the kids who are on my 'list' as students who need extra help.

And I need to pee ...

Last night's steaks were uh-maz-ing! I'm such a carnovoire! No barbeque tonight - we're under a heavy rainfall/wind storm warning. There's also a chance that we'll get some snow flurries mixed in after midnight. I'm just hoping for a school closure tomorrow because of the weather! It's unlikely, but I can dream.

I liked the pork crock pot recipe I made recently. H's only complaint was he likes his crunchy, and the soup made it kinda soggy.

Oh, and I haven't owned a bike in years, but I test rode one this summer that I want badly. I would totally do a 9 hour ride on that one!

I was so sorry that I didn't buy it and bring it up here! I'd be riding to work every day until the snow comes. It was just that awesome.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Morning Ladies! : I seriously lol'd.  Duh. That I could probably do.  Bejesus, that's weird.  That just triggered a memory from a dream last night where I was trying to wear some weird helmut over a helmut so I could ride on the back of the motorcycle.  But with two helmuts, my head would be too big to ride.  Odd. Edie, yes, it was a pork chop recipe.  I swear, I just can't make good pork chops.  I just need to resign myself that if we're going to eat pork, it's going to be pork tenderloin.

JCB, just take some chops put them in a shallow baking dish, add some veggies (I usually do potatoes and cabbagge) added spices and a little water, bake at 350 for about 2 hours, I just use a meat thermomator to make sure its at temp.

Jenny- I'm with JCB, you wont get me on a "bike".

Morning, ladies.  I keep thinking it's Friday but it's not.  Boo on that.

I was supposed to have a client meeting at 10am and they still have not shown up.  I'm pissed.  I have things to do, deadlines to meet, and my time is valuable. Gah.  Inconsiderate.

    Morning ladies.

I woke up with a headache. Silly me, didn't drink enough water yesterday and I knew it. :P I have my yearly OBGYN appointment today. It's with a new doctor, so I'll see if I like her enough to stick with her, or go back to my last one who is now 4 hours away.

    Good morning!

DD's birthday dinner was fun last night, but went way too late, and then her friends all came to the house for cheesecake.  I like her friends, but I want to go to bed at 10pm, and that's when they're all getting wound up to go out.  At least I have fabulous leftover steak and baked sweet potato for lunch today.

And, we sign up to bring treats for birthdays at work.  Today is my buddy's BDay, so I made queso, and pumpkin twinkies and donuts.  Yum.

    Pumpkin Twinkies:  http://www.confessionsofacookbookqueen.com/2011/11/pumpkin-twinkies-with-cream-cheese-marshmallow-filling/

I didn't frost them, but they were amazingly delicious anyway.  The canoe pan I bought on Amazon came with the injector thingie to put the filling inside once they're baked.  Chocolate would be very good too.

    Yes, I'm a pumpkin freak.
