I started reading the first one today on my lunch break. It's so cheesy. I hate myself for reading it and I hate myself for knowing that I'm going to read the other three books as well. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SEND THEM TO ME CALI?! WHY???

I would be far less embarrassed at myself if I hadn't heard the horrifying screams of the teenage girls in the theater when they played the trailer for the 2nd movie last week.

Join the Shame Circle, Noisy.  You're amongst friends.I swear, I emailed Bethie a bunch of times when I was reading them with things like, "WHY CAN'T I STOP READING THIS CRAP?  It's so bad, but yet I like it anyway."  You shouldn't worry about your sanity unless you stop with the self loathing.

I admit I really liked the first book in a guilty pleasure sort of way.  Second was eh and it was downhill from there. I'll probably see the movies too though. I was in a liquor store this weekend and they were selling Twilight themed wine.  Sick sad world.

haha omg i went through the same self hatred when my roommate and i read the books...they get better as the series goes on though i have to say, less whiny bella crap, more fun action stuff....seriously tho, Bella is one whiny biotch

I have yet to give in to the pressure to read or watch Twilight. You should only really feel the shame if you buy the Twilight Sweethearts (because apparently they taste like soap) or you say ditto to  Nugget's statement of:I want to jump on Robert Pattinson and ride him like a jockey at the Kentucky Derby, with his fine self.

Yeah, they get WAY worse as the series goes on. I could barely finish the 4th book....I enjoyed the first one though, in a weird too old to be readin it way.
