Purple Shoes

Hello ladies!

I'm getting married in October and have been on the hunt for affordable shoes to wear with both my wedding and reception dresses. I originally was going to get two pairs (white and purple) but decided to just go with the one pair and revel in the fact that I'll have on bold shoes onder my wedding dress =D Problem is, I'm getting married in my parents' backyard and don't want to be sinking into the ground every step I take. Most shoes that I'm finding are super skinny heels and/or super high...or ones that I love are far too expensive. I need a shoe with a thick heel that isn't more than 2 1/2'' (any higher and the dress hem would be too short). Both my dresses are vintage(1970's and 1960's) so I want a shoe that fits nicely with them =)

Thanks!
K

I don't have any good shoe recommendations for you, but I've heard good reviews from brides on various boards who used either The SoleMates or High Heel Savers:

If you can't find any thick-heeled shoes, these might help you out :)  They just slip right onto your shoe so you don't sink in, and you can buy clear ones that are virtually invisible!

Thank you so much! I'd heard about those quite a while ago and completely forgot about them =P Those definitely would work for the skinny heeled shoes that I've been falling in love with =D

I was in a wedding that was outside in a grassy area.  We were worried about the same thing.  I ended up with wedges....Touch-Ups Margie http://www.shoebuy.com/touch-ups-margie/366844  far cuter than the picture makes them look
