It's official:  Bill got the job!!!!  He's only been interviewing for it for four months.  Since they supply parts for a few defense initiatives, he had to clear a background check among other things.

And....
Yesterday, I got a card from the American Heart/Stroke Society (whatever they are) and Bill's grandmother made a donation in my mom's name.  Plus I got a card from her, his sister and one of his cousins.

My AW: I have one more month until the Formal Engagement! I can't wait to have it out of the way and only focus on the wedding.

Ok - mine is kind of long...  Basically, since I'm moving my ceremony, the reception site was taking $250 off of my total.  I looked over my contract and instead of giving me the reception room for free (normally $1,000 for the ceremony, $1,000 for the reception space... they charged me $1,000 for both), they wrote the contract to charge me $500 for each.

I pointed that out to the coordinator, just to see what they'd say... and they took $500 of my total now!!  I kind of felt like mean pointing it out, but I'm glad that I did!  YAYYYYY!!!

Mine is just that I have exactly 7 months left!!  Yay!  I know it still seems like a lot, but I feel like it is just going by so fast!  It wasn't that long ago that I was excited to be at the 12 month mark! :-p

My last 10 hour Saturday class is this week.  Not only do I get to reclaim my Saturdays...but I only have one easy peezy class to finish and I'll have my MBA.  Yea!!

Also, the February ski trip is on!  I really wanted to take a trip this fall, but that has been traded for preparing to buy a home (which we will also be doing in the next 6 months..  Me=Excited.

ETA:  Also, my Mom is getting her real estate license reactivated so she gets to help us find our home!

Let's see - had my first shower on Saturday.  It was a lot of fun.  I was surrounded by "family" from all aspects of my life.  My real family, my college family, my old work family.  It's gonna sound corny, but I felt truly blessed that so many people would give up time from their Saturday to come and see me.

I have my second and final shower on Saturday in Dallas.  I'm super excited. 

RSVPs are flowing in - as well as gifts.  Wow.  It's crazy.

That's not corny at all Lacey! That's how I felt at my shower, it was so nice to see everyone there and knowing they were all there for me was a great feeling!

Even though Saturday was our original wedding date that we had to push back for financial reasons, it is still our 10 year dating anniversary so I am excited! I can't believe it has already been 10 yrs!

Christine - we had date night last night.  IT was great!  For anyone wanting to try a new restaurant, we went to Medina (in Victory Plaza).  IT was delicious.  The ownder was there, and came by to talk to us, he was hillarious!  I highly recommend it.  We will definitely go back!

My AW:  We are having a garage sale this weekend!!!  I can't wait to get rid of a garage full of stuff.  Anything we don't sell will be donated.  Yay, free space in the house is so close I can taste it!
