Bridal Shopping

Hi everyone! I am newly engaged and looking for somewhere to go try on wedding gowns. I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and am looking for suggestions on places to go. Any help or suggestions would be great!!!

What part of DFW are you looking for?  Most of the stores the brides here recommend are listed on the sites in the vendor sticky.

I went to Mockingbird Bridal and loved it (but some girls didn't -- ask for Maggie if you go), Alfred Angelo in the Firewheel shopping center (it was okay, I thought the saleslady was really pushy and called me at least three times after I told her I'd already bought a dress), and David's Bridal on Preston and 635 (don't go on a Saturday).

I got my dress for a very affordable price at the Bridal Co in Denton.  The girls there were very helpful!

I would not suggest you go to the place where I got my dress.


However, I LOVED A Bridal Blossom on West Lovers Lane in Dallas. They have a wide variety of dresses in a range of prices. Nancy is fantastic! She did my alterations and is a miracle worker!

I got my dress from Brides by Demetrios in Frisco and loved the selection, and especially the service!!

That place was awesome. We went there to look at Bridesmaid dresses.

My suggestion:  save the chains (AA/DB) for last.  There are lots of beautiful affordable dresses out there--the ones listed here and more also.  Check out the vendor sticky at the top of the forum under Attire.

I did not come on TK until after I had already bought my dress at AA.  I would have LOVED to have known about all these great places before I went there.

I got my dress from Bridal Designs in Southlake. Happy with it. I had horrible service the two times I went to David's Bridal.

I went to four boutiques in the metroplex.  The first two, I was looking for a particular dress and designer.  I had a great experience at the Lewisville Bridal Boutique, but not such a great one at Ocones in Fort Worth.  I chalk that up to it being late in the afternoon when I scheduled my appointment.  It wasn't awful, just not great.  I then opened up my options and went to two shops in Addison.  I had great experiences at both Circle Park Bridal and Lasting Bridal Couture.  I loved everyone at Lasting Bridal Couture and that is where I got my dress.  I think I had it on at least 5 different times that day AND they disrobed a mannequin for me.

I went to AA in Arlington [off of I-20]. If you go there, I would recommend calling and asking for someone aside from Lucy R. Everyone that was with me had problems with her, and she was getting annoyed with me because I didn't make up my mind right away. That being said, I went back for BM dresses, and the lady we had that time was amazing to work with! Also, the manager helped me with the dress later in the appointment, and she was great also.

I also went to DB for BM dresses, and got horrible service, so I personally wouldn't recommend them. I would suggest, as PP said, going to boutique also and see what they have in store!

I got my dress at the bridal boutique in Lewisville. I had a good experience with them. There is also circle park bridal in Addison

I got my dress at AA at Firewheel and had great service with Parry.  She was very helpful, patient, not pushy, and she always stayed within my price range.  I also went to Circle Park Bridal.  They have a decent size selection of gowns of all prices, but I would recommend not going on a Saturday.  At least on the Saturday that I went, it was a total zoo in that place...

<div>To her credit, I had already fallen in love with a dress, but I wanted to honor the appointments I'd made.  Parry was really nice, but I think she sensed that I wasn't going to buy so she was trying REALLY hard.  It just ended up being kind of offputting.</div>

I also got my dress at Bridal Boutique in Lewisville and would highly recommend you taking a look there. My consultant was Deanna and she was really great.
