SB

How are you?  You had your surgery, right?

Re: SB

  • This is how she is: Kristen stole my answer with seitan. Two days ago I would have said steak, but I had two steaks I loved at Texas de Brasil the oher night. Ill try anything once. Oh! Head cheese. I will never eat head cheese. Thisanswer is long.I hope she continues to knot while hooped up on painkillers.

  • It was her response to Rhodesign's intro asking if she would help SB with her vowel renewal that reminded me she could potentially be on drugs.  I hope a hopped up on drugs SB hangs out here today.
  • I am A-okay!  I had my surgery yesterday and I'm still in a lot of pain, but mostly only when I move and cough.  They gave me some good drugs but I haven't taken them this morning and I feel okay so far.My shoulder actually hurts way more than my incisions.  They said they had my arms at a really wierd angle during my surgery, but it's a good sign that my arm hurts worse than my incisions. My anesthesiologist was super hot, and Brett has confirmed that I made a fool of myself smiling and making googly eyes at him.  He was like 7 feet tall!  I also flirted a lot with my pain management nurse.  Apparently my love for the male species comes out when I'm in a vulnerable state.

  • Glad to hear you are doing well(ish).  After the couple of surgeries I have had, I always have wonky pains that really make me wonder what they did to me while I was out. That is awesome that you got flirty with the medical staff.  It's making me laugh trying to think about it.
  • SB I saw beer the other day that wasn't brewed with wheat or barley and I thought of you. It hadn't occurred to me that people with wheat gluten allergies might not be able to drink beer. Also, I'm glad you're recovering well from the surgery!

  • I didn't realize your surgery was already happening!  You know, I bet we could subsidize health care if we sold videos of patients acting goofy on anesthesia.  Patients Gone Wild!

  • Noisy, I am not a huge beer drinker, but I have found several pretty good GF beers.  Luckily my favorite "beer" is Woodchuck cider and it's GF.Thanks for the well wishes everybody!  It's honestly a little worse than I expected because I heard stories like, "Oh, I could have gone back to work the same day," and "so-and-so rode a bike around the neighborhood the day after her surgery."  But overall I am feeling pretty good.I think I am just a big wuss.

  • Dude, you are not a wuss.  They cut you open and pulled out a body part -- it takes people days to recover from having their wisdom teeth removed.  I'm pretty sure a gallbladder earns you a good week of being waited on hand and foot.

  • Totally Cali. Those people you hear about are probably 1. jacked way up on pain pills, or 2. soulless vampires that don't feel pain. You are not a wuss.
  • I had some other stuff going on too, but I couldn't even get out of bed the night after I had surgery. So if you don't have to use a bedpan, consider yourself a rock star. =)
