Photographers??

I know this is a probably a repeat question, but my search skills leave something to be desired on TK!

Anyone have any photographers they could recomend that are reasonably priced. We want engagement session and wedding day, no bridals. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

What exactly is your budget? Do you have a certain 'style' you like?
My photographer is Leslie Spurlock, who definitely has a particular look, but we love it!
The McGowans are popular on these boards, and I've honestly never seen a wedding they did that didn't look spectacular.
We loved Perez Photography, but they're a little more expensive.

One thing that helped me was googling 'Filter Building wedding photography' just to see who had shot there before. It can be a lot of help to use a photographer who has used the space before. And I found some photographers I wouldn't have found elsewhere.

I havent really set a definitely price point yet. I would like to keep it around $3000 I think, but I am getting quotes from places to see if thats a reasonable request. I love a more vintagy feel to photos. I have looked into June Bug and Three if by Quil (recomended by TK and love the look they have). We are on a budget, but photography is one the important things on our list, so hopefully we are being reasonable with that budget....

That's a great budget! Lightbox and Maria Leinen have that feel and I think will fit nicely in that budget, too.

I think $3000 is going to get you someone amazing (and some awesome extras)!

Thats what I thought too. .I The photography is super important to me, and I know its not to everyone. But I want to have 2 photographers, and an engagement session.. so I think thats a realistic price for it all... obviously I could spend WAY more.. but I could also spend way less and compromise on what I really want right?

I met with Colton with Sixfourteen Photography and I love him! We are using him for our wedding. 3k is a great budget for photography and he meets those requirements.

Thats a good budget.  Our budget was under $2000 and we went with Belle Boutique and spent like $1500.  We have 2 photographers and i think 6 hrs.  we didnt do our engagement or bridals with her but she is very reasonable and has packages.

I have requested information from them. They did seem very reasonable on the webiste and I like the feel of their photos. Obviously I woule prefer to spend less as long as its quality!!

I paid just under 3K for 2 photographers for 8 hours, and a bridal shoot (no engagements).

I love my photographers, Nine Photography. It is 1500 for my wedding day only, so I'm sure its comparable for adding engagement photos.

Heather Hawkins is doing my photography. She is currently the second shooter for Sarah Kate Photography and she is just starting to do stuff on her own so her prices are SPECTACULAR. That being said, when I met with her, she brought a huge portfolio of shots she had done with Sarah Kate from weddings, she just can't put them on her website because she doesn't own the rights to them. I am not sure if her prices have changed since I booked her, but I can tell you I am paying less than 2000 for bridals and day of (with 2 shooters)

I met with Colton at sixfourteen and LOVED him. Its going to be really hard to find someone we felt as compatible with, but I guess we have to do the responsible thing and shop around :(

So far he has definitely set a high bar to measure up to! I have a few more meetings this week with other photographers, but theones I have met with so far just dont compare! They may be a little cheaper or include more.. but personality wise we just havent clicked! I am trying to be responsible and meet with a few others, but my guy is definitely drawing me to sixfouteen! (i just need to appease some people...)

Seriously! I adored him! My fiance wasnt with us, but just the difference in what I tell him about the photographers he says he knows we will end up with him. I have some apts for this week, and if nobody can clear the bar he has raised we are just going to book with him. I feel it in my gut.. but again.. gotta appease my sister (and by the way "her guy" hasnt gotten back to me yet... rude)

haha! my fiance wasn't there, but the entire time I kept thinking that if he was I wouldn't be getting a word in. And then we looked at his blog and he did some amazing album covers with guitars in a grassy field.. and my fiance's eyes just lit up... the fact that he is a musician AND a photographer really grabbed him! (He's a musician too)

Yeah i am a little annoyed. My sister has been harping me about using this guy, and his stuff is great.. but not a lot of wedding stuff to look at... but she hasn't texted me his cell # like she was suppossed too.. and he hasnt answered my emails. I know he will be cheaper than colton.. but I'm just not feeling it.

If I was a betting woman I would bet we have Colton booked by Friday night!
