I want to give my BIL and his fiance an engagement gift and they have a registry. Would it be really bad if I went off registry b/c I have a gift card elsewhere and have no other reason to use it?

Just buy them something. Those little blue boxes are wonderful, no matter what the gift. And if you aren't going to use it for anything else, WTH not?
