Re: Say Anything Wednesday

I wish I had a close friend. I have a lot on my mind right now and I have no one to confide in. It's kind of depressing!

I'm kind of in the same boat - no close girlfriends here in the area who are my age who are in the same "spot" in life.

Having flowers delivered is ridiculously expensive! No wonder my husband has only done it for me like twice since I've known him. It's a complete rip-off...$14 for delivery?? Yikes! My sister is having surgery tomorrow, so my brothers and I went in on a medium sized bouquet and spent $70!

    Okay, that was my vent.

The sun is out today which is always nice.

I LOVE the sun!  Also, I understand how you feel bdette.  I moved here just under 3 years ago from West Texas.  And when I moved here I didn't know anyone!  It really sucked.  It has gotten better - especially when FI moved up here.  I would love to chat  or hang out.  I know that sounds kind of strange since we don't really know each other very well, but I'm being sincere.  Just let me know.

    Here's hoping for warmer weather!

I woke up on the total wrong side of the bed this morning.  Then I was locked out of my office b/c my key wouldn't turn.  And I was hungry and desperately needed coffee.

And my coworker is FRUSTRATING me.

And this week has been a whoopin.

BUT I did get to see my best friend and her sweet baby last night, which was AWESOME.

Also I'm so irritated with Firefox! It showed that I replied twice to the message saying that I'm in the same boat about not having close friends so I deleted one post and now neither post is showing... stupid technology Undecided

Marlene, I also know how you feel. I don't have any local friends (anymore) that I feel are at the same stage in life. Most are single and are still hanging with the club scene.

Anyway, since the great ladies of the board have already offered ears and eyes, I won't, but don't think I wouldn't! Though if you do need one more person to listen, I'm here.

Thank you ladies. It's very comforting to know there are people out there that will listen to me. It's really what I need right now.

My MOH is pretty amazing.  She just got engaged (yay for my first time to be a maid of honor) and emailed me earlier today to make sure she wasn't stealing my thunder by having her wedding in the fall.  Of course I told her I couldn't be happier, gives me more motivation to stick to the workouts since I'll have to get into a dress later this year!

Awww Im here too if anyone wants to talk.  I do have a degree in Psychology btw.

On the other side I am in transition with my job.  I took a bit of a leave to figure things out.  I think I really need something new and closer to home!

Would anyone be down for a Plano area G2G? Maybe somewhere like Blue Mesa on a Friday night?  I think they have a pretty good happy hour.

Ugh...I just drank too much of a 5 hour energy. My eyes want to jump out of my head.

I work in Plano - so an after work event would be wonderful.  But it's not like I live too terribly far - and I'm willing to drive!  Ha.

What Friday would work for everyone? My schedule is open every Friday night in March so far except the 19th (unless we met a little later).

bdette - I understand how you feel. None of my girl friends are at the same stage in life or our schedules are too busy. I've drifted apart from most of them.

I can't do the 5th - FMIL will be in town - she is buying my  wedding dress as a gift to me.  She is super sweet.  So I'm getting my dress on the 5th!!!!  :)

Marissa, you always have the best links! My matron of honor would love those - she's a teacher, and she's always complaining about tops/camisoles not covering her up enough.

Oh, and apparently the Church we are getting married at is the biggest Catholic Church in Texas with 22,000 members. Jeez...no wonder it's a wedding factory. (apparently the only bigger church is Joel Osteen's in Houston, but I kind of doubt that)
