Are you ticker addicted?

I realized I see more and more tickers for random things. It's not a bad thing, I do it too. I was wondering if you are ticker addicted?

Sort of.  I decided I wanted one to count down to our vacation so I made one.  I like seeing them, just to know when someone's wedding is coming up.

No...but what I do think is annoying is when people have multiple tickers at once. It's too much clutter.

I don't notice it as much on this board, but I do on others. Especially on The Nest.

Not that I frequent The Nest....

I like seeing my wedding countdown one.  I like tickers, but I don't want multiple on my signature at once! :-)

Oh, The Nest ones drive me crazy and they are WAY too personal there.  The ones that really bother me are the "success after a miscarriage".  Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that they're getting some happiness but it's a little TMI for me.

Not me.   Although I'm admitted calendar obsessed.   I have vacations and events marked on my calendar that I count down the days to.

Nope.  I took my off, because I felt like it was a bit too much clutter.  I don't mind them, except when the countdown is clearly over and the ticker is still there for like a month or two.

I like the tickers although I definitely agree that less is more. And for some reason I think the tickers that show what size of fruit your fetus is are really cute, but I can't explain why.

<div>Agreed. But I think that's because we're not at that stage yet. I think if you're going through that, and you're around a bunch of other women who are also going through the same thing, it's probably not TMI to you or them. </div>

Haha, me too.  I like the comparison.  It's like - Oh, I get it - it's an avocado now...

    Me too!

I'm with Tiffany I love counting down things. I'm OCD about my calendar. I like seeing the tickers. I get excited for people when their big day approaches. I use to have two one for the wedding and one for the Engagement. occassionally the little ticker would be the cause of stress.

    Deepthi,
The little ticker causes more stress because it's a constant reminder that the day is coming no matter what you do!
