I could have.I was able to turn it around but I have been doing this for a long time and know how to play the game. It can be very intimidating for someone new to the system.

I'm intimidated by parents.  And have zero plans to enter anything PPCD for this reason.Right now I'm maintaining my blissfully unaware attitude as long as I can

Parents don't bother me. But when parents are mad and the school supports them over you or inflames their anger (as happened this morning) it is annoying.Basically, the campus had a crap teacher and SLP who would not do anything we recommended for the student. The parent is pissed, but the campus admin wants to put it on us because they should have fired the teacher and don't want to admit it.

Yeah, that sounds like it sucks for sure.  Glad you were able to turn it around.  How many campuses are you responsible for?

jeebus!  that sounds like insanityI minored in SLP for a brief period, but I got frustrated with how audiology oriented things seemed to be so I switched to child development instead.  In hindsight I'm kicking my own rear for that, but oh well

well thrive on, Wing-ed, thrive on!I just remembered something I saw on my way to work this morning.  You know those stick-figure family stickers people put on their cars?  Or maybe those are just here- either way, I saw one this morning and it had two parents, and I think 3 kids, a cat and a dog.  All of the stickers were bright white except for one of the kids, which was black.  What does that mean- the kid is dead? non-caucasian? adopted? the black sheep of the family???  WTF

At my last job, we had a contractor computer technician who would drive up in his car covered in those bullet hole sticker things.  My bosses wanted to stop using him because of his obvious lack of professionalism.
