Can anyone fill me in on what happened to Cousin Hadley?  I'm in Book 6.  I think this must have happened in a short story between 5 and 6.  Muchas gracias, mis amigas.

To clarify, in case I unwittingly asked for book 6 spoilers, I want to know what happened to Hadley such that Sookie believes she is dead and has gone to NOLA to clean out her apt. Thanks.

I just finished book 6 and Hadley is dead. It explains what happens to her further into the book.Book 6 wasn't my favorite. I thought it was a little confusing when Sookie talked about Hadley. I thought I skipped a chapter because it implied that there was a relationship between Sookie and Hadley that never existed in the previous books. Hadley was mentioned but never that her and Sookie were in contact with each other. All this could have been explained better instead of giving yet another detailed despcription and history of Bubba. I'm tired of reading the same paragraph about him in every book.Okay, I'm going back to lurking now.

thanks.  Hmmm...can anyone verify whether or not there is a short story b/n 5 and 6.  I'm with her.  I also backed up to see if I skipped something.  If there isn't, book 6 makes no sense and sorta sucks.

From what I remember, Hadley left and went to be the Queen of LA's (Sophi right?) lover (all the Vamp terms from all the books are swirling through my head), and she was made a Vamp.  She gets killed and Sookie goes down there to figure out what happened.  In later books you see just how twisted it all is.  That Creepy Uncle is involved.

lurker here: pick up the new book  called A Touch of Dead. It has short stories in it that explains certain events and characters that wasn't explained in the series. One story goes into more about Hadley.
