Go Spohrs!  I think that the fact they are actively involved with their charity (even cgoing to meet with their elected officials) and aren't trying to promote/sell something with every post, makes them a better blog.  Please add that to the fact it is better written, and voila!  They should win.

This has irked me for awhile - didn't someone on NEY come up with Baby Rabies? Ali or someone? For that reason, it bugged me when she named her blog that.

You're right. The Spohrs really is a good blog. Their work with March of Dimes both before and after is quite impressive, and I can't imagine ever being so open about a loss like that.I'm really interested to read the progress of this pregnancy.

I've been reading the Spohrs for several months now and I've been lurking long enough to know that Donkey is freaking nuts, so of course I've voted for the Spohrs around 50 times!  What I don't know is why are you guys campaigning so hard for the Spohrs?  I mean, yeah, Heather's blog totally blows donkey's out of the water, but does someone here personally know them or something?Let us all imagine donkey sitting at her computer for the last 24 hours compulsively voting for herself over and over and over and then let's point and laugh.Go Spohrs!

Baby rabies is a term my friends and I have used for years. I definitely used it on NEY and I think that's where it came from. I have no proof of it, just a vague memory of a conversation with her where she said she thought it was funny.

What I don't know is why are you guys campaigning so hard for the Spohrs? I mean, yeah, Heather's blog totally blows donkey's out of the waterIsn't this enough?In addition, the Spohrs blog is touching.  I don't know them but their blog seems to have a larger purpose than to record their every complaint about life or promote the latest freebie they receieved.To add to that, you're right that Donkey is nuts.  I'm also always annoyed by hacks who fancy themselves writers because they can type and press a button to publish on the internet.  I'm also annoyed that Donkey claimed to be donating to charity to get more votes--right after she buys herself a ticket to Blogher and adds a chunk to Kendall's "college fun."  It's $1000.  She might donate a buck ninety-five to charity.
