TSD

I don't know when you'll stop in again, but I bought that T3 hair dryer, and I love it. Thanks for the rec.

No prob. I don't know sh*t about sports or stuff like knitting or cooking but I know do know products of beauty & fashion! :-)
  • My hairdresser swears by the T3.  I need to get one because my crappy hair dryer is on its last legs.

November- it's cheapest on amazon. I got it from my hairdresser using it too. But- he had to get it for me...back then it wasn't discounted anywhere.
  • Thanks for the tip!

  • How do you feel about the Jose Eber hair straighteners they sell at mall kiosks?

Cali- when I find something I like, i stick to it. When I had access to the International Beauty Show in NYC, I was looking for a "Sapphire" straightner, which was top of the line at the time but I believe over $200. I couldn't afford that so I went to buy it wholesale there but I didn't find it. It was also bulky and hard to use. I found a Hai Convertable that I've been using ever since. I tried a Chi in the interim and didn't like it. I don't stray from my Hai. http://www.amazon.com/HAI-CONVERTABLE-CERAMIC-FLAT-IRON/dp/B000PU6A7C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1256051125&sr=8-1

    Ooh- take out the 's
  • Are you using IE for your web browser?  I think if you look near the address bar, there's a little paperclip looking thing.  Click that and I think you can adjust your settings so that the options you're missing come back.

  • TSD recommended the HAI to me and I loooove it. I have also had a t3 for years (Xmas gift from E) and it is wonderful.

I can't find a paperclip. I don't know how the f to do anything. Sorry.
  • TSD, have you heard of or have any opinions on the Coppola Keratin Straightening System? My hair dresser recommended it and the results on others look amazing but it is so expensive I cannot justify it.

I believe that's what I had done- 24 hour right? I could not do the 72 hour with a baby who pulls on my hair all day. TOTALLY worth it. I had it done at the end of July and it's still great. I highly recommend. It cost me about $250
  • Hmm, she told me it was 72 hours without washing or using so much as a clip which made me cringe. She told me with my hair it would be $400. Maybe I will ask her about the 24 hour one which think would be better for many reasons. She told me it would take 30 minutes off of my usual 40 minute drying time which makes it worth it. Your hair is amazing making me lean towards doing it.

I guess it all depends on where you live as to what you can get and for how much. Being that I live in metro NYC, everything is available and it's very competitive. Unless you have hair like Crystal Gayle, I don't know why it would cost you $400 for a 72 hour. I wore a silk scarf on my head for 24 hours like a biker chick would. My salon is www.azano.net and he might have some info on the different kinds of straightening he does. He's like a pioneer of it here.
  • I live outside of Boston. She said it was because my hair is thick and they would need to use more product. I will check out that link. Thank you!!
