My vent for today

I hate washing my hands in cold weather. Even when I turn on the hot water, it's still freezing. It's so much harder to wash them well.

My fingers like molt, esp in cold weather. I hate the feel of lotion and with a baby I guess I wash my hands extra and they're so dry. The skin just comes off like a snake sheds theirs. It's so gross, you have no idea. My fingers look nuts. I guess that's more of a confession.
  • I could not live without hand lotion. I can't even imagine.

  • A responsible person would hold off on TTC until flu season is over.  Oh wait...  it's never really over.I'm so sick of flu paranoia.  It's everywhere.  Wash your hands, don't touch your face, sneeze/cough into your elbow, stay home if you are sick, but for the love of tiny baby Jesus, carry on with your life already.

  • Flu paranoia is high here. Of course, we are a high risk environment. I have a school with over 10 confirmed cases of H1N1. I wear gloves.
  • A life without hand lotion is not one I would want to live. The feeling of dry skin is the worst thing ever to me,
  • Is there such thing as restroom hand soap that doesn't dry your skin out like the Sahara?

  • True story:  I've always had dry skin.  As a kid (say like 9-10) I wasn't great about putting lotion on.  We were at some kind of event at the community center, and I noticed my legs were so dry they were ashy and itchy, so I went into the bathroom to find a solution.  AHA!  Lotion Soap to the rescue!  Unfortunately I discovered it was mostly soap and not lotion.

  • I purchased what I thought to be lotion from Bath and Body Works.  When I first used it, it was all sticky and didn't absorb well, so I rinsed it off.  When the bubbles filled the sink, I realized it was soap.I reed good.
