We're having a family lunch here next weekend, and I'm at a loss what to make. We typically just do burgers and such, but it's been too cold outside to grill. Any ideas? I would do a lasagna or something, but that seems so heavy for lunch.

Soup?  Corn or clam chowder?  Quiche?Here's a good corn chowder recipe:Mexican corn chowder 3 tablespoons butter 1 large onion 1 medium green bell pepper 1 garlic clove 1 can chopped green chiles (hot or mild) 1 can whole tomatoes, drain & break up 2 cans creamed corn 1 can regular corn 32 oz chicken stock 2 cups chopped cooked chicken 1 tablespoon taco sauce (Cholula) 1/2 cup shredded jack cheese juice of 2 limes cilantro, jalapenos, sour cream to taste (garnish) 1st:  butter, onion, bell pepper, garlic; medium heat 3-5 minutes 2nd:  chiles & tomatoes, blend well 3rd:  everything else, simmer 30+ minutes
