$1000 a month blog is back

There's a delightful post about her home birth, and one where they "come into some money," a $40 gift card from Wal-Mart.  Good times!

• I wish we could come into some money.

• That is such fun age. How are things with you?
• I read that post this morning, about them "making out" during labor. Uh huh.

• It just makes me sad. We are by no means wealthy, but if I need a cheese grater or a kitchen thermometer, I just buy the damn thing. I don't need a wal-mart gift card or my birthday to come to get everyday kitchen items. It's just sad.

• This whole blog makes me very uncomfortable.
• Things are really good, we're having another baby in early April, so that's exciting. Maggie saw a newborn in the waiting room at the midwife's office today and she got very excited. Hopefully that's how she'll feel about her new brother or sister. Yes, making out is a coping technique I read about in a natural childbirth book, I'd rather not.

• Buddha, normally I'd agree with you, but that's how that WANT it. So to me, that's totally different. I do feel bad for the kids, what with the sleeping on a mattress under the crib and cramming numerous siblings in one bedroom.

• Congrats, 2 under 2 should be fun! Are you finding out the sex?
• I can't read the words "bloody show" without imagining someone drenched in blood a la Carrie dancing and doing jazz hands.

Then again, I would not be willingly having kids with that small of an income.

• Is this her 3rd or 4th kid?

• Is she a nestie or just a blog?
• I still don't know how CPS has not been called in on them
• Dish Strainer - It's bright red and the rest of the room is neutrals. It goes with the kitchen decor in our old apartmentI guess red doesn't go with "Tupperware gray."

• How do they even have internet with that low of an income?
• How do they even have internet with that low of an income? I may be remembering incorrectly, but didn't they justify it because they don't have cable, and he needed his fox news?
image
• They also have satellite radio so her H can listen to Fox News. Because the Fox TV anchors dress like whores.

• Well I mean how does anyone live without Fox News.
• CPS is probably too busy responding to parents who abuse their children or can't feed/clothe or provide shelter at all for them.  She isn't abusing her kids.  She's living way below poverty level while managing to feed her kids meals and put a roof over their head.  not my bag and I feel sorry for the kids, but it isn't a life threatening sitch.

• She addressed the internet thing.  I think they have DSL and it's adjusted for low income.

• I still don't know how CPS has not been called in on them Why?  I haven't read much, but is there something abusive happening?  This isn't the crazy beat the toddler until he says "hi mommy" blog is it?
image
• Word, Tasty. Sure the kids could have it better, but it's not like she abusing them.

• If poor kids were taken away from their parents by CPS, half the country would be in this situation.
• The thing that really bothers me about the kids is the sleeping situation.  I think in a lot of states it would be illegal.  But no, they're not being abused.  They're eating, they have (state provided) insurance for emergencies.  Though it does bother me that they consider dental treatment a luxury.  Not the worst situation by far.

• It was the sleeping situation that would cause concern to me.  I was under the impression that children had to have beds in order to be in a non neglected home.
• What's the sleeping situation? I can't find it.

• Even the bed thing to me would be a stretch. I don't know. I agree it is not right, but I am sure there are tons of people like this, only they don't blog.
