Does anyone here have any experience with getting antique or vintage items appraised?  I have some stuff I'd like to sell but I am wondering if it is worth hiring an appraiser or if I should just try my luck on eBay.

    Better yet, we could be your antiques roadshow.  I know lots of stuff about antiques, and I'll bet everybody else here does too.  Except Robe.  She's dumb.We should pick a day that is not this week, and not a Monday, and you can post pictures, and we can tell you what it is, what it was used for in it's heyday, and what it should be used for now (if different) and I will give you an estimated value.  It would be like our own version of The Liar's Club!

    Groomz has the best ideas.  I'm sure we could come up with lots of uses for your trinkets. Groomz, I was talking to my 7 year old nephew on the phone last night, and he decided to make up some music and do some dancing.  I swear he sang the "robe vs soccer mom" closing credits music note for note.  It warms my heart to think he has your skills.  We'll have to work on his accent.

    I have checked some of the items on eBay so see what they were called, but it's hard to tell what they are worth because the prices are so different.  Some of the things I have are one of a kind so I really don't know.
