flowers?? advice pleeease!!

ok so i was just gonna do silk flowers for the wedding party, partly because there cheaper and also because flowers really arent that important to me... well my aunt(who raised me so shes kinda mother of the bride) kinda gave me a wierd look whe i told her. i told her i cant really afford fresh flowers so she kinda suggested seeing if someone else wanted to contribute and if so give them the flowers... so i still havent decided what im gonna do. my question is do any of you ladies know of a cheap florist in the area?

I used Beverly's in Arlington. Honestly, I think I got way more than what I expected and paid for.

I originially was going to do silk flowers because of my budget. A co-worker has a part time job as a server at Southfork. He told me that silk flowers, look like silk flowers. He said a good florist would be able to take whatever budget you have and give you the best you can afford and it will look a million times better than fake flowers.

I took that advise and it was the one of the best pieces of advice I received. Whether you care about the types of flowers or not, flowers will most likely be a part of your decor and in your photos. What do you want your photos to look like?  I would suggest a consultation with a few florist to see what you can get.

The first florist I went to, quoted me $3K. This was AFTER I told her my budget, which was NO WHERE near that amount. I then went to 2 additional florists. They both agreed to work within my budget. Beverly actually pulled flowers and began showing me what my actually pieces would look like. That is why I chose them.

    Good luck.

If all you need is personal flowers, alot of girls on here like and use Market Street or Central Market.  This was actually being discussed in another thread today and one of the Knotties (Renee) said she was using the Tom Thumb in Grapevine and her personal flowers were running her $400 for:

    1 bridal pics bouquet
    1 bride bouquet
    5 bm bouquets
    3 gma coursages
    5 boutenieers
1 mother of the groom smallish bouquet
    delivery

I'm using fiftyflowers.com, after seeing some good reviews on here. They have pre-set wedding flowers in a box (which will save me frustration of putting it together myself) for $500ish for 20 piece sets... http://www.fiftyflowers.com/flowers/collections/WeddingFlowersWeddingFlowersinaBox_23717.htm

I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
