Re: Odd Sex Question

  • I'm way late to this, but I'd just like to add that the fire and ice condoms made me feel like I had a glob of icy hot in my nether regions. Not.good.

I heard a story from FI today that fits in with this; she's working in a pediatric clinic this month, teenage girl comes in today with what she thought was razor burn, extremely painful razor burn.... um nope, herpes, have a nice rest of your life dealing with that.

I think stuff like that is what puts me in the make condoms free and anonymous to grade school kids even if the bible beaters get all worked up about it; some kids are going to have sex, just a fact of life, and if they're able to get condoms without having to go into a weird store and ask some guy or girl for them, they're far more likely to use them, and whether you agree with giving them out morally or not, it's a lot cheaper to supply condoms than it is for tax money to pay for medicare herpes treatments.

oh heaven, that's awful.  A rather naiive college friend of mine started getting "cold sores".  She had no idea what they really were and started yelling at me when I told her her bf gave her herpes.  This is also the same guy who didn't wash his hands after eating hot wings and basically set her vajay on fire.

agreed. the bible beaters need to take off their blinders. kids will be kids, and restricting their access to condoms will make the potential outcome of their decisions that much more severe. the older i get, the more i lean towards having a stash of condoms in our house in a central location when my future kids become teenagers. i want them to always have access to them for themselves or for friends who have bible beater parents. i'm so happy i made a personal decision to refrain from sex until after high school (i knew i wouldn't have an abortion and knew i couldn't handle a baby.) looking back at some of my exes makes me fairly positive i would have ended up with an std.

I'm seriously disturbed and now paranoid.  FI eats hot wings ALL THE TIME.  Now I'm going to nag him everytime he eats any.

The name looks too close to "squid" for me.  It weirds me out.

I'll have to look into that.  Wet platinum is also a type that doesn't irritate us if left on our skin.
  • Funny you should mention it. We're TTC, but had to TTA this cycle due to my sister's wedding, and DH picked up some Fire and Ice last week. I couldn't tell the difference.

  • This thread is a riot. Well, except the whole teenage-girl-with-herpes one, that's such a shame.

Haven't tried the F&I ones, I've not used Trojan in years - they have a really strong smell and they're so thick, even the thin ones. And I agree with vegasgroom about Trojan being more about marketing than product.

Durex are good; I feel like they do something similar to F&I but I can't be sure, as Habibi and I discovered Crown Skinless Skin and have not looked back. omg they are teh awesome.
