Evening everyone! How was everyone's Monday?Mine was really shittty.. I was so crabby all day and the icing on the cake was dealing with FMIL being a biotch (see thread below), but I'm better now. I am currently reading up on our honeymoon location, for tips and whatnot.  IT's so funny, I've been in wedding/school mode so much lately that I've completely forgotten about the fact that we have an amazing honeymoon planned.  Looking at pics/advice is making me all tingly and happy inside I can't wait!
What is everyone else up to?

I had a heck of a day at work and then had to come home and do some prep for our upcoming camping trip. I'm finally relaxing with some booze and looking forward to the House finale tonight. 

FH got off work early today and is down at his cousins. They've been drinking for several hours so I told him he better stay down there tonight. I'm irrationally irritated that he's off gallivanting around when I have been busting my butt all day but I'm also grateful for the peace and quiet. 

Additionally, I shouldn't be irritated for him not being here for trip prep since it mainly involves things he doesn't handle and he does all the on-site work (besides cooking).

We're watching Mary Poppins and Adam has never seen it. It makes me so mad that he didnt see this as a kid, cause hes not really into it. He missed so many little experiences from his childhood cause his parents suck. Up until this past christmas, he didnt even know what an advent calendar was. Its little things and I dont get it.

Evening. I had a very busy day at work. I'm excited to relax a little tonight. I'm really hoping I can take a week day off in July to celebrate mine and H's first anniversary. We'll see, though.

Nebb - is he at least open to Christmas stuff? I have dated more than one guy (including FH) who had shitty childhoods and now hate Christmas ( and birthdays and...). No amount of trying to change their mind through example has helped.

Nebb how hasn't he seen Mary Poppins?! That baffles me.
The broadway version came to our town a few months ago and it was FANTASTIC.

He has worked in retail all his life so he hates christmas for that reason. He isnt much into it but tolerates all of my christmas nonsense. He knows its my favourite time of the year and sorta humours me. Its also my birthday so id kick his ass if he didnt atleast put on an act of being happy that day.

Hugh Laurie is rocking his natural accent for the retrospective. So very hot. Damn I love me some accents.

I was just reading the news and apparently some guy climbed over a retaining wall and jumped into the niagara river this morning and went over the falls. He lived. He is one of only 4 people to survive that without protective gear. I feel bad laughing at him, but he clearly did not want that outcome and he was one of so few people to actually survive. What a twist.

Today was prodcutive. I got to teach 5th/6th grade music today which I LOVE. And FI and I had our final (phone) appointments with our DJ and florist. I love both of them. It made me happy.

Chels we are working on planning our excursions for our honeymoon right now. I'M SO EXCITED.  We might do a pirate ship booze cruise lol. We've got classier stuff planned too I promise. I think lots of us June girls are now at the point where the HM sounds much better than the wedding.

Mary Poppins is fantastic. I have a huge crush on Diick VanDyke in that movie.

It's hilarious because we read reviews and people are all pissed off and saying "OMG this is so not a family thing it's a bunch of people just drinking and dancing on a pirate ship!" And FI and I were like "OMG we have to do this" lol.

FI and I are big travelers so we splurged on our honeymoon. Which is okay because it's all we really splurged on. I just wanted to spend money on something that WE get to enjoy. That might sound selfish but I'm just sick of spending thousands of dollars so other people get to have 1 good night. That is important to me but so is this.

Evening all. Made an amazing strawberry shortcake for dessert and kind of wished I hadn't made dinner too so we could have just eaten that. Now I'm over-full. 

Love hearing everyone's honeymoon spots! We did Belize and it was amazing. I want to go back.

Evening.  All this HM talk is making me so excited for mine but we aren't going until December.  (http://www.secretsresorts.com/thevine).  It's not open yet so I'm excited to see all of the reviews.

I just got home from grocery shopping. I forgot a few things and I hate when I do that.  

I also just talked to my best friend.  Her husband up and left her yesterday (they have two small girls- my god children) and she needs to start completely over.  I think she is going to meet with an attorney and talk about moving them here (to AR from PA).  I hope she does, I miss them all so much.

No prob. Their website doesn't give a ton of details so we just emailed them so hopefully we can find a time that works when we are there and it's not a ridiculous price. It looks like fun!

One time I woke up and I COULD SEE. I was 100% it was a miracle for a solid 2 minutes. And then I realized I had just fallen asleep with my contacts in. I was heartbroken.

I am jealous of all the honeymooners. We still havent gone on ours. The buyers of our old house took possesion of our house one month after the wedding so we were too busy packing and moving and then working on the new house. We probably won't get to go anywhere until Oct/Nov and I pretty sure that no longer counts as a HM .
