My favorite is vanilla ice cream dipped in that hard chocolate shell.  I really hope they have that there!

I want some fried ice cream.  Would you believe that in a city the size of Rochester (not like it's huge, but it's certainly not small) there is not a single good Mexican restaurant?  We drive an hour to a town 1/4 the size of Roch to get good Mexican.

Are you kidding me??  It's a dessert at Mexican restaurants.  It's vanilla ice cream with a crunchy cinnamon sugar shell.  It's pretty much the coolest thing ever in the world.

There's a place near us that has fried cheesecake with caramel sauce. It's incredible.

I'm eagerly anticipating the Iowa state fair and what new food on a stick they have. Plus, since this one place closed, it's the only place I've found with a GOOD gyro. I ate almost 2/3 of that thing. And Cew, you KNOW that was a feat. I had fried pineapple last year, and of course, the corn dog.

Tonight, I started cooking a hot dog, then realized that the buns were moldy. Fabulous. A slice of bread becomes a bun.

Mmm, gyros.  There was a high Greek population in my hometown and we had a lot of little family owned Greek restaurants.  I haven't found anything to compare to them since then, sadly.  I've found some passable options, but nothing that blew me away.
