Good morning!

Re: Good morning!

• Morning ladies!

Nebb- that is fricking disgusting. If he does that in the kitchen I can only imagine what he does in the bathroom. I think I'd carry in a biohazard kit and hand it to him. Yuck!

Today I got to sleep in, but I have to work till 10PM tonight. We are part of a Fashion show at our state theater. Long day ahead.

Good Luck at your race Mehg!

• Soooo, gas here is about $1.24/L, and that's the cheap prices.  That comes out to $4.70/gal, so y'all can shaddup now.
I think gas is like $3.69-3.75 around here. WTF, I thought the Midwest was supposed to be cheap. I think it was around $.94/gallon when I first started driving. Now it takes me more than $50 to fill up.
Posted by maratea
<div>Yep.  My first tank of gas was $.93 in northern IN.  Monday when I was there, I paid $3.69 at the exact same gas station (can't believe I remember that!).  WTF indeed. </div>

• I remember gas being $1.25/gallon when I first got my DL (2001). When I first got Attila the Honda in 2004, I could fill up from empty with $11. I miss those days. I filled up this morning at $3.99/gallon for regular unleaded ($48 total), which I rarely do since I'm supposed to fill up with premium, but I'm trying to save money for my trip this weekend.

Sorry Raynes.

I was in the gas business for 20 years. I know it's getting out of hand here, but I also know it's always worse in other places.

I have watched the gas prices go from 59cents a gallon and  up. I remember my DM at one point had to order me new numbers for our sign because we didnt have enough #3's.

• We're still around $3.01 a gallon here.  It's weird, though - there's a station near my house that's always $.10 a gallon higher than the station 1/2 mile away, but they always have people filling up there.

Time to pay attention to the grocery rewards points and save up for $1.00/gallon discount on a fill-up.

• What's really stupid, is gas by my house is always $0.30 cheaper than by my office which is about 9 miles away, still in the same city.  And it's more expensive than that in rougher areas of town.

I know for myself sometimes it's not worth the hassle of the cheaper gas station. We live in a small town with only 2 gas stations on my way to work, I can go the next town over on my way to work, but it is SO busy and you cant get in and out of the parking lot.

<div>My dad told me the other day when he started driving, gas was about $.55.  That was 1971.  So from 1971 - 1999 (when I started driving), gas went up by $.38.  From 1999 - 2012, it's gone up by $2.67.  Crazy. </div><div>
</div><div>He also likes to talk about how he could go to a movie AND get popcorn for $.25.  Now it's like $8.50 just for the movie ticket.</div><div>
</div><div>ETA: I just realized I lied - it was my mom who told me that, not my dad.  My dad started driving in 1961.</div>

• LP- that's not totally true though :) Gas was higher for awhile. 1999-2000 was kind of a fluke in that prices dropped drastically (and stayed low for a few years.)  I remember my teachers talking about going out to take pictures of the prices when they dropped below $1, because "you'll never see that again." We laughed. How right they were...

• Well I know what I'm doing on my lunch. Geesh. I was really hoping gas prices wouldn't jump.  They asid the same thing last year and nothing happened.

Nebb, that sounds absolutely disgusting, not to mention illegal, no?  Knowingly giving people "access" to your bodily fluids?

I had my first really kickass morning workout.  I drank tea this morning before it, which warmed my body up earlier than normal. I think it made a huge difference.
• PS Hooooly crap guys look at my ticker.  I remember when it was still before the 12 and wasn't moving yet.  Where did the last 8 months go?
• I remember taking a road trip to Las Vegas for my sister's wedding in Feb 2001, and the gas there was $2.10/gallon, and I thought that was nuts. I couldn't believe gas had gotten up past $2/gallon, now I would give just about anything for those gas prices.

lbarr: I really like it. Kia has the good warranty and the base models have the steering wheel controls, bluetooth, sirious radio, cruise control, and a few other things. I got them to throw in a remote start for no charge. It is big though. Bigger than my Scion XB by far. The gas mileage is around 22 city. Edited for spelling.

MN used to always be about $0.25-$0.50/gallon less than WI.  Until the 35W bridge collapsed and they tacked on a huge tax to gas to cover the cost of replacing it. That increase was supposedly temporary. assholes.
• Good morning.  My new position has been keeping me busy.  That's  a good thing.  I keep having to ask questions thought because I keep running into strange things.  But, so far, every question I've asked has led to a "that's not normal" or "what the heck?" so I think that's a good sign.

Nebb- You need a new place to work like nobody's business.

Mehg- Good luck!

Raynes - Feel better!

Everyone - Have a fantastic Thursday!
• ohman. H is on a googling kick this morning. He's now offering me suggestions on what kind of breast pump to get, and has decided we don't need to buy one because we'll just rent one.

Sorry dude. This is one of those decisions I'll have final say in, thanks.
• I hate that I can't be a bigger asshole in real life. Coirker just came up to me to ask if I know whether slim fast works or not cause she's trying it. I can't in good conscience, even if I HATE the person, tell them that will work. I can't. Apparently she's trying to lose weight and be healthier, so I guess my motivation to work out has just increased lol

lol.

I didn't realize they were so expensive.  Still.. I feel like it's a good investment to make. I'm sure they sanitize them, but still. I wouldn't want something sucking milk outta my boobs that has sucked milk out of other boobs too.
• Well if its coming from the hospital I'd expect it would be properly sanitized. Its like using the same speculum IMO.
